CHAPTER 1
HERINE#1

(2 Years Later)

"Ellary, mababaliw na ako sa mga pinaggagawa mo. Ramdam mo?" Said Vieve indignantly while scratching the back of her curly hair.

We're on my office and I just got finish from my appointment with the event organizer. And now Vieve can't move on to the date I'd set for my big day. Unfortunately, narinig niya pala kanina yung usapan kanina.

"You always see things wrong when I don't."

I eyed her.

"Exactly! so you have to consider my advice."

Napailing na lamang ako sa kanya. Ayaw talaga magpatalo.

"You'll practically work on Christmas. So I won't see you out."

As if naman matitiis ako ng babaeng 'to.

"Vieve, thank you for your concern, pero ayos na ang lahat sa ngayon eh."

"Seriously?"

She then looked at me with grimace.

"Just give me your support. Mahirap ba 'yon?" I said it as finality to our conversation and started to pack my things. Pero may pahabol parin talaga siya.

"Worried lang ako. Ilang Christmas ka na bang malungkot? Sorry. I kinda think that it isn't your lucky day."

I got her point, tho. She meant well. Because she was with me. She heard me wished myself to die.

Instead of talking, I just hug my cousin. I'm never this dramatic with her. Vieve and I were just as stone cold as we look like. Pareho kaming may mga issue sa buhay but now I reckon being dramatic is part of everyone's life. Putting up stone cold face, getting angry, laughing and so on... that's all different degree of dramatic.

"Thank you, Vieve. But let me make a difference, huh? Let Christmas day be my victory, okay?"

She doesn't seems so convinced pero wala na siyang nagawa.

When I finally finished packing my things up ay tumayo na ako.

"Give me a ride." It is not a request but an order. And she said it timidly. May problema na naman siguro. Ginagawa akong driver eh. So kahit pagod ako, I'm gonna drag her to haven.

When she's drunk, I swear, she's the best person you could ever talk to.

I dragged her out of the building until we reached the parking lot. I forced her head to my car's door just to make sure she can't protest anymore.

"There, buckle up. You'll solve your problem."

I drove my car so fast that Vieve almost lost consciousness. Right after
we got out, she went straight to the trashcan. She almost stucked her head into it. Puking like a drunk bloke. Parang di na nasanay.

"You devil, why don't you just kill me?"

I didn't mind her remark inspite of her flaring eyes darted on me. Lumapit na lang ako sa kanya. "Tsk. Hindi ka pa nga umiinom, asal lasing ka na." I said, while patting her bare back.

"Oh!" I snapped, I forgot to change my attire. But I didn't bother much and just simply removed my color black, above the knee coat. Exposing my fitted racer back blue dress.

"Di ka naman prepared nyan?"
Said Vieve, who's already on her feet.

"Not at all." I said haughtily and untied my waist-length hair that appears to be curled in a beach wave style. Probably, because it has been rolled up all day.
