Arkos Diary Entry 5: Movie Night

Today was the mission day, our mission was to shadow a sheriff at a nearby village outside Vale. Nora insisted that we did, she practically pushed for it when we were choosing from our mission logs and the proctor was trying their very best to dissuade her from picking this, but her lighting sharp stare caused the proctor to cave-in to her request. Once we got our mission chosen we decided to meet up with team RWBY to talk about our upcoming missions. After our chat with them, Sun and Neptune decided to hang out in our dorm room.

"So, you guys pumped for your mission, Sherriff sounds pretty cool!" Sun said.

"It should be, but usually missions like these are pretty boring," I said.

"Oh yeah, I'm ready to take down some thugs, lemme at em!" Nora boasted.

"Whatever the mission holds for us, we'll be prepared," Ren dutifully noted.

"Yeah, and if it's boring, Team JNPR will have some quality time to bond," Jaune said.

"Quality time, huh?" Neptune asked.

Neptune winked at Jaune once and he got quiet. I gently placed my hand on top of his.

"I think it would be nice," I said.

Jaune's face blushed as he gently held my hand.

"I mean it is a job, after all, can't slack off if we're gonna be full-fledged huntsman one day," he said.

"I agree," Ren said.

"So, what should we do?" Sun asked.

Everyone thought for a moment.

"Why don't we go see a movie?" Jaune suggested.

"That's a great idea Jaune," I smiled.

"Yeah Jaune, great idea," Nora smiled.

Nora had a very smug smile resting on her face with Ren quietly smiling beside her. I noticed the two of them were holding each other's hands too, I guess that finally happened now.

"That sounds like a good idea, Jaune," Ren smiled.

"What should we go see?" Neptune asked.

"How about...The Huntsman!" I suggested.

Sun, Neptune, and Ren nodded their heads in approval, Jaune's eyes lit up like a child's would and Nora's eyes lit up with thunderous excitement,

"Ooooh, let's," Nora lit up.

And with that, the rest of us made our way to the movie theater.

Jaune and I were seated next to each other while Ren and Nora were together with Nora hogging the popcorn bag between them. Sun and Neptune were seated beside them with Sun picking off pieces of popcorn from his bag with his tail.

I had our popcorn bag resting on my lap while Jaune would occasionally grab some popcorn to munch on while the movie was playing.

Once in a while during the film, Jaune and I's hands would brush past each other while grabbing the popcorn. I looked at him and he smiled and shied away to focus on the movie, he was so cute when he did that.

"You can't do this Huntress, Remnant is my burden to bear!" The Huntsman said.

"No Huntsman, it's our burden to bear," The Huntress said.

The Huntress reached her hand out to The Huntsman and held it gently and firmly.

What I didn't realize was Jaune held out his hand instinctively to grab a piece of popcorn only to have me grip his hand gently and firmly. I met his gaze and smiled at him.
