I stood at school, with my back to the wall. I was quiet. I wasn't like those popular girls who always looked great. I didn't paint my nails or curl my hair. I didn't even wear earrings. I had light brown hair and blue eyes and freckles. I was small for my age. A ten year-old at a height of 4'3. I was in fifth grade. I didn't do much in class, didn't raise my hand. Nobody really noticed me. I was just one of the unnoticeable extras in a big movie. I didn't enjoy the term freak. My mom said I was just full of color and imagination. I was different. Unique. But the taunts inside my head still screamed freak. But I didn't really mind. Everybody acted like i was invisible. Probably because I was. I was a mutant. I was a freak.
