Lilith presses her soft face against the vent. The cold bars quickly awaken her sense of touch.

'Hello?" Her voice echos, "Are you there?"

At first, an unwelcoming silence greeted her. To her disappointment she groans.

"It's good to hear from you again." The familiar bass voice travels through the airway. Her ears prick up in excitement and a wave of falsified dopamine increases her heartbeat.

"What took you so long! I got worried!' She places her hands under her chin, ready to hear his excuse.

Loud shuffling is heard before he spoke, "More D-classes entered my room."

"Oh! Did you talk to them? Aren't they so friendly?" Her voice increases with pitch, as she thinks about all her D-class friends.

"Our conservations aren't very long."

"Weird. I can't get them to stop talking. I can give you some conservation starters!' The idea of helping her friends made her happy. If anything, she cared about others more than herself.

He lets out a hollow chuckle, "Your innocence is somewhat amusing."

Not fully understand what he had meant by that, she blushes..

"Yeah well, your mysterious side is.." she hesitates, "somewhat mysterious??"

"That doesn't make sense."

"Wasn't suppose too." She smiles at her own suspense. Just simply hearing someone enjoying themselves, made her happy as well.

Having these small little talks was enough to distract her from the corroded grimy walls. A constant reminder that she belong to a massive corrupted company. Her body, life, and soul didn't belong to her. Instead she belonged trapped in a compacted room. This was a reality she was use too.

"You wanna know something?" She flips around on her back, and places her hands under her head. Her eyes trail up a wall and onto the dingy ceiling. She couldn't help but wonder what was above her.. Freedom?

"Mm?" His curiosity peeks.

"I'm glad i can talk to you. If i was constantly alone.. I...I don't know what i would do." Her smile quickly goes away, "I mean your my best friend and I don't even know what u look like. Isn't that kinda..." Her chest sinks with the weight of the sadness behind her words, "..sad? Is it okay to feel sad? Do my emotions belong to me? Everything I am is a pawn to the higher ups. What if all I'll ever know is the stains on these walls? Or the frigid feeling of being own."

"Do not worry yourself." A hint of tenderness is covered by the harsh reality, "I am here for you and I do not plan on leaving. Those stains will fad and will be replaced with art. I know this to be true. Your life will lighten up."

Hearing this made her slightly feel better, but there was still one question.

"But what about-"

He quickly injects, stopping her mid sentence.  "It dose not matter what I look like. I am not a man nor beast.."

With all that being said, Lilith is left to stare back at the ceiling. Not a man, or a beast... what could he mean by that?
