The sound of a worn down plastic food tray scratches against the floor. It was effortlessly pushed under the door, and slide by Lilith's toes. The food was colorless and wasn't solid in anyway. Even the bread was spongey and wobble. The look of the food was depressing by itself, now just imagine having to eat it.
Lilith frowns. She picks up the flimsy tray and makes her way back to the vent.
"I really wish they would at least try and make the food look appetizing.' She poke a fork in the mucky liquid and swishes it around. "Is this supposed to be beans?"
"I wouldn't know." Zero's voice is dry, but he still tries to have empathy.
"How come they don't give you food?"
The yellow fork was now stain with a grubby tone of green. Her stomach aches with pain, not wanting to put the substance in her mouth.
"I don't need food."
"Mmm." Lilith was too distracted by the repulsive excuse of cooking, "Consider yourself lucky."
She puts the tray down and shoves it far away from her.
Zero hears her displeasure, but he also knew that food was a important factor for survival. This was the 3 day she haven't eaten. Without realizing it, he worries.
"You need food. You should eat what you can."
"I ate yesterday. I'll be fine." She lies. The idea of consuming such repulsive food made her queasy.
"Your lying." Zero's voice is thick with irritation. He did not tolerate lying.
"I really don't wanna eat this.."
"It doesn't matter what you want. Survival is more important."
"Do I need a lecture right now? I'm still upset at you." She says back gloomily.
Zero felt his muscles harden, not liking the idea the Lilith was showing a small amount of attitude. "He was a bad man.
What don't you understand about that?!"Lilith hated conflict. It made her feel wearisome, especially with Zero.
"I just wanted to make a new friend. Your roar scared me and him.." She looks downward to the floor. Her expressions filled with grief and the feeling of lost potential.
"I'm sorry I frighten you, but you don't need anymore friends." He places his hand on the vent, trying to stimulate the feeling of comforting her.
He fantasizes holding her. Caressing her ravishing body with his. Having every part of her pushed up against him. Feeling her warmth lighten up his shadowy torso. This was a illusion he finds himself daydreaming about constantly.
"I.." He struggles to keep his rough voice soft, "I care for you."
"I know." She was defeated. She cared for Zero, but also felt trapped. "I care for you to. Just please don't make that noise again."
"I won't. I promise.."
Lilith cups her hands under her chin, knowing he would break his promise. This wasn't the first time Zero had lost his cool over a D-class entering her room. It was on file that Zero intervenes each session, putting her at risk for no sessions with D-class at all.
Lilith wasn't planning on responding to him, but before he could pick up on the silence treatment, her door opens without warning. This time no speaker given a announcement, or a mangled D-class.
Instead a overweight women stands by the door. Her stance is strong and her smirk only added to her sinister appearance. Her suit barely clings onto her. The fabric stresses to remind in one piece.
"Lilith you are needed for a interaction session."
Interaction session could only mean one thing.. She was going to meet another SCP..
