So the next day Emilia set out to find the strange boy. She wandered around the town, stopping at the grocery store, the pharmacy, the college, and the thrift store. She didn't find him anywhere. Emilia sighed and walked home. She stomped straight to the couch and laid down, staring at the ceiling covered with spiderwebs. She closed her eyes and drifted off to dreamland. She saw the stormy afternoon in the alley, the one that felt like it was forever ago. She stomped on the spiders. She heard him crying. She turned around to see what the noise was coming from. She saw him standing there, with his head buried into his shirt. His Pearn's Bookstore shirt. She asked him to stop crying. They talked. She left.
Emilia woke up from her dream and tried to remember any details that could help her find the boy. She searched and searched and searched her brain for some kind of hint. Any kind of a hint. Emilia, come on. She scolded herself. Why can't you find some kind of an answer? She sighed, about ready to give up and never think about him again. Then, The answer hit her right in the nose.
