"Hey, Kevin," Betty says when he slides into the booth now sitting in front of her."Hi, Betty. What is it you wanted to talk about?"
"Jughead and I got into a really big argument." She sighs.
He looks at her sympathetically. "What was it about?" He asks taking one of her fries.
"Well I got mad because he wasn't answering his phone, so when he got to the house the first thing I did was yell at him."
"Aw Betty." He grabs her hand and squeezes it.
"And long story short, we both said some things that neither of us meant."
"Betty couples argue you can't always be perfect. But at the end of the day, you guys love each other. He gives her a reassuring smile.
"I know Kev, I know. It's just that ever since he started going to Stonewall I feel like we're drifting apart." She says wiping stray tears.
She knows Jughead loves her and that she loves him, but she just can't help the feeling that he's hiding something. Maybe it's because they're so used to always being together or maybe he really is keeping something from her. For the first time in a long time she doesn't know.
He gets up from his side of the booth and scoots in next to her, pulling the blonde into his warm embrace.
"Betty, you guys are meant to be. So I know you'll get through this rough patch," He softly says. They pull away from each other. "And, hey distance makes the heart grow fonder." He smiles.
She laughs at his cheesiness. "Thanks Kevin, I'm gonna go and apologize."
"Anytime Betty Cooper."
