"What movie do you want to watch?" Fp asks Alice when she walks into the living room holding a glass of water.

"I don't know." She says. "Ooh how about Beetlejuice." She excitedly says setting the glass on the coffee table.

"That not on Netflix," Fp says disappointedly because he really likes the movie Beetlejuice.

"I know but we have it on DVD." She says walking over to the couch snuggling up to Fp.

"Ok, I'll go get-" He's cut off by the sound of the door slamming. They turn their heads and see Jellybean running up the stairs. She didn't even stop to say hi and she looked pretty mad. She also wasn't supposed to be home until four since she went out with her friends to see a movie.

"I'm gonna go check up on her she looked pretty upset," Fp says lifting up from the couch.

"Ok, I'll be waiting."

He trudges his way up the steps and walks down the hallway to Jellybean's room. He opens the door up and his eyes are blinded by the pink wallpaper the room was decorated in and he reminds himself they needed to paint those walls because Jellybean was right that bright pink really was hard on the eyes.

He looks around the room and his eyes land on a crying Jellybean who was curled up in a ball on the bed. The sight breaks his heart. He rarely ever sees his daughter crying she was usually tough as nails. He was ready to kill whoever made his baby girl cry.

"Hey Bean," he says softly making his way to her bed and taking a seat at the edge of it. His daughter quickly wipes away the tears coating her face and sits up her legs dangling off the edge of the bed.

"What do you want." She grumbles. She really wasn't in the talking mood. She didn't want anybody to know what just happened especially not her father. It was times like this when she really missed her mother. She knew Alice was there but it just wasn't the same.

She's fairly sure her mother wouldn't have any advice for this particular problem but it would've been nice to be able to at least try and talk to her. But she couldn't because her mother had upped and left leaving her behind and she hasn't bothered to stop by or even call and that really hurt Jellybean.

"I just wanted to check up on you you seemed pretty upset when you came home and you're crying right now."

"I'm not crying, and I don't need you to check up on me. So just go away." She angrily says. The only person she wanted to check up on her was her mother and that wasn't going to happen so she would much rather sulk by herself.

"JB-"

"GO!" She yells her voice cracking.

Fp gets up without another word and walks out of her room shoulders hung low. He closes her door and walks down the stairs back to Alice. She sees the look of defeat on his face and knows the conversation with Jellybean didn't go well.

"How'd it go?" She asks even though she knows the answer.

"Not good." He sighs. He thought his and Jellybean's relationship was better, he thought she would feel comfortable talking to him. Sadly he was wrong. "She wouldn't even try talking to me."

"I could try talking to her," Alice suggests

"Are you sure Al?"

"Yeah I mean it's worth a shot. Right?"

"Go ahead."

"I'll be back." She pecks a kiss to his lips and makes her way up the stairs.

She slowly walks to Jellybeans's room. She reaches the door but stops herself when she goes to turn the handle. She was a little nervous this would be her first time trying to parent JB without Fp and she is by no means world's best mom. Betty turned out great..but Polly well she royally screwed her up and she was afraid she would do the same with Jellybean.
