"Kris.. Honey wake up."
I pulled the covers over my head hoping my mother would leave me alone. The covers got ripped off my body and the cool air sent shivers down my spine, waking me up instantly.

"I'm up! I'm up! You didn't have to fucking do that!" I groaned and sat up rubbing my eyes.

"Language young man." My mother sighed and wagged a finger as if she was speaking to a child. And I, my friends, am not a child. "Yeah, yeah. What do you want from me?" I rolled my eyes and she flicked my forehead. "I need you to get up for breakfast, your father and I have something to discuss with you." 'Yeah, fuck that.' I thought to myself, mentally preparing for what might come. Conversations with the both of my parents meant bad news. "Okay, I'll be down in a few minutes." My mother smiled and left my room. I debated on going back to sleep but I didn't want my mom pouring cold water on my head. And when I say cold water, I mean ice cold, I swear the last time she did, my dick sucked up inside itself.

I got dressed quickly, throwing on a black skull tank top and some ripped jeans I made my way down stairs. When I got to the bottom I quickly made my way to the dining room and took my spot farthest away from where my parents will be sitting.

"I see you decided to finally join us." My father spoke in a deep voice from across the table. I nodded my head and fiddled with my fingers. 'I hate this.' The room fell into an awkward silence until my mom finally walked in caring plates and set them down in front of each of us. I immediately started to eat but quickly stopped when I heard someone clear their throat. I looked up and saw my father glaring at me and my mother shook her head in disappointment. "We didn't say our prayers." He growled and I rolled my eyes. "You both know I don't believe in god so why do I have to?" A hand was slammed against the table with a loud thud. "I don't want to deal with your smart-ass attitude, you wait to eat until the prayer is said!"

"Kris, please don't start anything with your father. Just do as he says." Moms sweet voice softly said. "Fine." I muttered. "Thank you." She held my fathers hand and they put their heads down. 'This is so stupid.' They finished the prayer and started eating. I sat there staring out the window and ate my food quietly. When we finished mother gathered the plates and I sat there still looking out the window at the beautiful trees.

When my mother came back and sat down, I looked at them and took in a deep breath, "What do you need to talk to me about?" My father spoke first, "We have arranged a marriage for you." My eyes widened, "Marriage? With who?"

"He's the son of a billionaire. I'm sure you've heard of him, his name is Damien Kingston."

'No fucking way! He's constantly all over social media. I hate that douchebag, he acts like he owns the fucking universe.' "Are you serious?" There was no way I was going to marry that asshole.

"Yes, do you have a problem with it?" I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard my father speak. "Yes! I do have a problem with it! He's a guy and totally has a stick up his ass!" I snapped. "Watch your fucking mouth, you have no say in this. You'll be packing your bags and moving in with him hopefully by the end of this week." I could tell by his tone that I pissed him off, a lot. "Fine." I stood up and stomped up to my room and slammed my door shut. Flopping onto my bed, I silently screamed into my pillow. 'This is the worst.'

It's been a few days and I had everything packed but I still continued going to my collage. "Kris, bro, are you kidding me? You leave tomorrow?" That right there is my best friend Gage, he's the first friend I made in high school. We've always had each other's backs and I remember he got into fights all the time with people that would pick pick on him for how he looked. He's got an amazing boyfriend named Zack and I've never seen him more happier. "Yeah, but I'll still be going to classes. I have to finish up this year and the next." I laughed as Gage fake cried over me moving. "But will we be able to hang out?" Zack asked from the other side of Gage. "I don't know, I think Damien would let me have friends over." I responded unsure. 'If he doesn't then I'll just bring them over anyways.' I snickered at the thought of us sitting in my room being loud and annoying the fuck out of him. "Why you snickering over there buddy?" Gage quirked an eyebrow at me. "Probably thinking about torturing his fiancé." My head snapped over to look at Zack who had a smirk on his face. "Oh, you're right. I wouldn't doubt it." Gage laughed. "How do you know exactly what I was thinking?" I laughed nervously. "Are you a mind reader?"

"I hope to god I'm not a mind reader. I don't want to know about all the stupid shit you think about, like if a circle is a square." I stopped laughing and stared at him, "But a circle is 360 degrees and a square is also 360 degrees." He cracked and started laughing with Gage who was crying from laughing so hard which caused me to laugh as well. "We need to stop letting you smoke weed." Gage wiped away his tears and finally stopped laughing. "Fuck you, I'll do what I want." I stuck my tongue out and flipped him off. "Woah, that's mine to fuck." Zack wrapped an arm around Gage who blushed and hid his face with his sleeve. "TMI Zack." I said and gave him a weird look.

After talking for a little longer we separated and went to our classes. The lecture was boring so most of the time I doodled on my papers. Once my classes ended, I met up with my two amazing friends by the front gate. "So, where we going?" Gage asked as soon as I reached them. "I don't know, maybe we could go eat dinner and hang out at Zack's house?" I looked at Zack for approval and he nodded. I went and got into my black Jeep while Gage and his lover boy got into their silver Mustang. We left and went to eat Chinese food then headed to Zack's house. We got there and went into his garage where we smoked some (not a lot of) weed, drank a little and played games.

My phone rang out and I had to put down my controller sadly. I was totally kicking their asses at Mario cart.

"Hello?"

"Hello honey, I hate to take you away from what you're doing but I think you should come home so you can rest up since you have to leave early in the morning." My moms voice came through the phone. I looked over at my two best friends and gave them a sad look. "Yeah.. I'll be home soon." They frowned put their controllers down. "Thank you, I love you." She said softly. "I love you too mom." And with that I hung up.

"Do you really have to leave?" Gage looked like he was about to cry. "I'm sorry, I have to.." I sighed and ran my hand through my hair. "Baby, we'll still see him, it's not like he's going off to war." Zack kissed Gage's head trying to reassure him. He smiled and stood up, Gage standing up as well to give me a hug before I left. We shared a group hug and I grabbed my things and left.

When I got home I didn't say anything and went to my room. I changed and got comfortable, as soon as my head hit the pillows I fell asleep.
