It didn't help as they would walk around holding hands and would just sit on each other's laps and even kiss each other on the cheek.

Of course Rita has made the article of hermione and Harry dating then hermione cheating but no one in Hogwarts beloved that.

The rumours started spreading when Harry had come out as bi sexual. Who was he close 2 ron. Harry was bi so obviously they were together.

In the second task Ron was Harry's most missed. So it just seemed clear to everyone that they were dating.
