"Katie" Matt voice echoed in pidge head as she looked to the woods that held her old family home, the home that was burned down and were her family was killed. She fought back the tears as her brother voice echo her name in her head over and over before her parents screams from that night joined. 

"Pidge" Keith whispered yelled snapping her away from the woods and making her turn to her rebel partner. 

"s-sorry" Pidge mutter and glanced back to the woods before walking again towards the rest of the team.

"you ok" Keith asked with worry as he notice her glance back to the woods.

"yeah" Pidge lied and Keith frowned.

"pidge" Keith mutter with worry but was stopped as shiro lifted his hand for silence.

"the cabin just there, look no guards or anything" Shiro whispered as they stood not far from the cabin.

"A soldier comes once a week to feed whoever still alive and burns the ones that died in the week. Apparently he came this morning meaning everyone should be alive inside but very weak" Hunk explained and the others frowned at the horrors the prisoners was put through.

"lets go save them, we take them through the woods so they wouldn't be seen until the back up unit comes to take them somewhere safe" Lance mumbled as they started walking but pidge stood froze in fear.

"we camping in the woods, i thought we were taking them to town" Pidge asked as fear took over her body.

"change of plans, the back up team wont come till tomorrow and Zarkon has spies in every town now, we cant risk them being seen" Shiro replied as they kept walking not noticing pidge stopped.

"the woods will give us cover and space to run if the guards get called without us knowing" Hunk weakly smiled and Keith turned when he notice pidge wasn't behind him.

"Pidge" He spoke in horror as he saw her pale scared face.

"i-i c-cant" Pidge mutter in fear making them all turn to her in shock.

"what do you mean" Keith asked as he walked over.

"M-my f-family t-they" Pidge started to cry as she looked to the woods and it was clear something bad happened that haunted her.

"dont worry, its gonna be ok and i promise to not let go of your hand. Just look at me and nothing else" Keith smiled softly as he took her hands in his and started walking backwards while pulling pidge along.

"t-thanks" pidge stutter as her tears stopped falling while she looked into Keith purple eyes. 

They reached the cabin and Keith stood outside with pidge making sure she kept her eyes on him and him alone while the others free the trapped tortured prisoners. Shiro called Keith to follow once the free everyone and lance lead the way with hunk. Both Shiro and Keith notice pidge froze in place in fear as she reached the woods and Keith pulled his bandana out covering her eyes before taking her hands and leading her into the woods. It seemed to work because pidge was back to her normal self apart from not being able to see anything. 

They made camp in a clear area and Hunk started cooking their food over a fire. Lance and shiro was bandaging up the free prisoners and telling them they would be safe and be free completely in the morning. Keith stayed beside pidge since she couldn't walk around alone and just talked to her. He passed her bowl of soup that hunk made and watched her careful eat before eating himself. The others looked at pidge with worry since they never saw her so scared before. Pidge was a rebel before they all joined up and she was already a sassy badass that laughed in death face. She been any many woods and forest before so why did this one scare her so much.
