We find Serena in the Pokemon Center of Lavaridge Town, the day after James' call. Her eyes were blood red from crying and looked like she had just gotten out of bed. Her Pokemon became very concerned, as did Nurse Joy.
Nurse Joy: Oh, Serena! Are you OK?
Serena: Yes, I- *Yawn* I'm fine.
Braixen: Braixen Brai! (Serena, are you alright!?!?!?)
Nurse Joy: Is something bothering you?
Serena: No. I Just--.
Serena suddenly collapses from exaustion.
Braixen: BRAIXEN BRAI!!!!!!!!!!!!! (SERENA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Nurse Joy automatically takes Serena to the ER and starts performing CPR.
Meanwhile Ash and Delia were on their last days of their vacation in Alola. They were at the berry market looking at the berries on sale.
Delia: Wow. Look at all these berries. Don't they look good, Ash? Ash?
Delia looks around to discover that Ash isn't there.
Delia: What on earth?!?! Where did he go?
Delia began searching for him all over town. She searched high and low, but Ash was nowhere to be found.
Delia: Ash, where are you?!?!? Ash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some time later Serena was in a hospital bed at the Lavaridge Pokemon center. she was unconscious for a good long time and when her Pokemon came in she finally awoke.
Nurse Joy: Serena! you're awake!
Serena: Oh, What happened?
Nurse Joy: You woke up this morning looking tired and all of a sudden you collapsed.
Serena: Ugh. I don't remember any of it. All I remember was thinking about Ash.
Nurse Joy: Ash.. Would you be talking about Ash Ketchum?
Serena: Yeah. You know him?
Nurse Joy: Yes! I met him while he was traveling all throughout Hoenn.
Serena: Oh, Ash! *Starts to cry*
Nurse Joy: Oh, Serena! What's wrong?
Serena: I miss him so much!!!!!!!! I've had feelings for him for the longest time and I was too late to confess!!!!!!!!!!!
Nurse Joy: hey, it's OK. Things happen. You may be too late to confess to Ash, but you had great times together! In fact, I'll bet he's thinking of you right now.
Serena: Really?
Nurse Joy: Yes, In Fact, I know some-one you can talk to.
Serena: Who?
Brock: You wanted to see me, Nurse Joy?
Serena: Wait, you're--?
Brock: mhm. It's nice to meet you, Serena.
Serena: L-Likewise.
Brock: Now, Tell me whats wrong.
Serena: Well.. It started when we reunited.....
Then Serena explained all her pent up feelings about Ash, all they went through, and her last minute confession at Lumious International Airport.
Serena: And I've been thinking about him ever since.
Brock: Oh, so that's whats been upsetting you.
Serena: I love Ash with all my heart and I took too long to confess to him!!!! He'll never love me now! He's probably forgotten about me!!!!! *starts to cry*
