The car stops, the woman is still holding me, they are talking, but it's still raining hard outside. I cry out in an effort to make my voice heard. She rubs my ears and wraps me tighter into her. They open the doors and jump out, quickly moving towards a different house. I'm wrapped up tighter as I cry out. Rain plops onto a ground I haven't seen before.
I let out a tiny meow and a breath of air from my nose as the door opens. Smells of human food wafts into my face and I am released a little bit. A new human, a large adult man speaks gruffly towards the humans I came in with. He looks towards the woman, he calls her Susan. I can't understand anything else.
Before I can let out a cry for help the man grabs me with a small towel and holds me like a burrito. A tall woman walks over to the big man. She talks to Susan and that other guy, she calls him Nick. I cry out as the tall woman pushes the man towards a hallway. She called him Adam, that must be his name.
The man releases me in a large white hole, I need to escape, but he holds me down and turns on really heavy rain.
It's hot rain, not cold like it was outside.
I still don't like it.
I cry out for mommy, she has to be close by! She wouldn't just let humans take me from her. The rain is replaced with some strong smell I'm not familiar with. Adam scratches my body with the smell. Scratches feel so nice, until he turns the rain onto me again.
Finally, he stopped with the water. He burritos me with a big towel. I'm brought back out with everyone else. He calls out to Susan and tries to give me to her, but she pushes me back.
I'm so sleepy, but I don't want mommy to stop listening for my cries. Maybe I'll take a small rest.
I open my eyes and a young looking human is staring at me, but she's not scary, so I'm not frightened. I'm so warm, still wrapped in the towel. She smiles at me and puts her snout on mine. I acknowledge her snout with a small meow.
I miss mommy. I fear these humans will keep me for themselves. The young human comes near me with her mouth. She put her lips on my snout. I haven't thought about it in a while, but I'm hungry. And thirsty. The human keeps me warm as she nuzzles me into her. I close my eyes for just a second.
When my eyes open, it's boiling hot, I'm still in the burrito. I yell out but the small human is not moving, the eyes are shut. My fur feels moist, I need mommy to give me a bath! She's only showed me a few times how to do it. I need mommy's bath! It's hot, I can't escape! There's hot air in the humans lair, but it was chilly outside! How can the humans control the weather?
My body is mostly escaped, I've just got my rump and hind legs underneath the child's arms. I scream out, my mouth next to the child's sniffer. Her eyes open, I lose focus, I've never seen eyes as brown as the wet dirt before.
I jump out and land on some fuzzy land. I scream out as the tiny child gets off of the large furniture.
My fur is still moist, I need to shake the rain off, I need a bath.
