Morning came too fast for Alaina. She wasn't a morning person. She got dressed in a red bikini and ripped denim shorts. She wore a black pull over on her bikini top. She grabbed her bag and went down to the beach. She went for a swim. After she swam for a while, she was hungry and needed to look for a job. She took a shower and got dressed. Then she headed for the pier. She ordered Chinese food to eat and sat on a bench. She rode a bunch of rides all day and the sun went down. She was shouting at the security guard for kicking her out of the No Trespassing area. The boys showed up behind her. "You alright, Laine?" Paul asked her. She walked beside him. "Yeah, I'm okay. I hate that fat slob. He's so.... fucked up." She growled. "Anyways, What are we doing tonight?" Alaina asked. "I need to ask Max for a job, I hope you don't mind." She smiled. "Of course. Well go see him first." David grinned.
They walked into the store. "Max? Can I ask you something?" She sat on the counter after Paul helped her up there. "What's up, Alaina?" He smiled but then dropped the smile when he saw the boys around me. "Can you give me a job? I need to make some money for food and stuff." Max pulled her to the side. "I wouldn't hang with these boys, they're bad news, Alaina. But if course you can work here, you can start tomorrow morning." He said seeing my face. "What? What's wrong?" She jumped down. "I gotta go, Max!" She rushed out of the store and down the boardwalk. She was an hour late getting home. She was out of breath by the time she reached the front door. She threw it open. "Mom? I'm sorry I'm late." She closed it.
"Where have you been?! I was worried about you." She stood there in her pjs. "I was with Max asking for a job, which I got. I start tomorrow. Please don't be mad mom, I won't let it happen again." She smiled at her daughter. "Get some sleep, baby, you're going to need it for tomorrow. And it better not happen again. Goodnight Alaina." She smiled and went to bed.
After a long day of work, the sun set, Alaina found the boys and went with them to their place. They stopped on Hudson's Bluff. She followed them down into the cave. She sat beside Paul. Marko brought back Chinese for everyone. She barely ate. She wasn't really hungry. "Vampires." Something whispered in her ear. The boys were chatting amongst themselves. "Hey, Laina? Are you thirsty?" David asked. Paul giggled. Marko chewed his thumb. Dwayne was reading his book. "Hell yeah! I haven't drank anything all day." She smiled. She knew somehow they were trying to turn her. She didn't mind it. She was nervous though.
