CHAPTER ONEI hear first bell ring as I hop out of my Jeep and run into school. After grabbing my things I rush my way to my first class, chemistry. When I enter the class Mr. Bowie looks at me, "You're late". "Uh sorry sir. Won't happen again." I say, avoiding eye contact. I take my seat in the middle row and look around. Everyone was looking at me except him. The player, who everyone likes. Instead he looks at his desk, a smirk plays his lips. Holding back a laugh, I sigh and listen to the lesson.
After school I shut my locker and I'm startled when I find a perfectly chiseled face looking back at me. His smoldering green eyes melting me, his perfectly shaped hair shakes. Taking his hand out of his pockets he puts it on my wrist, he leans in and whispers, "Do you trust me?" He pulls away, leaving a tingling sensation. I stutter, "I uh. Uhm yeah?" He chucked and intertwines our fingers and heat rushes from my fingers to my cheeks forcing me to blush. "Follow me." he nods his head towards the black Chevy in the lot. I follow.
He turns up the music when the song 'Hell and Back' begins to play. He starts awkwardly dancing and I throw my head into my jacket and laugh. "Heard that." He looks at me smiling. I blush again. He stops the car and we get out. Walking up to the front porch and pulls out his keys and goes through them all. Then he clears his throat. "So this is embarrassing but I forgot my house key in my room. Looks like I have to take you to the diner, my treat!" He smirks. I smile at him and finally get the nerve to ask, "So why are you even talking to me. You're like the most popular kid in school." I fiddle win my finger and wait for a response. He takes in a breath. "Well I guess I have taken interest in being your friend. Taking you out of your shell and making you more outgoing." He opens my door for me, and we leave to the diner.
When we arrive and get our seats he sits right next to me. I scoot away,Che scoots closer, I scoot away again, and he gets closer. Finally I give up. "Lemme see your phone." He holds out his hand I hand him my gold iPhone 5s. "SELFIE!" He screams, we get odd looks but take a selfie. He posts it to Instagram and I say "That was random." "You know it. I put my number in your phone by the way." He responds. The waiter comes with our food and we finish in silence. But it wasn't an awkward silence, more of a comfortable one.
He takes me home and I invite him inside for a round of video games. The rest of the day consisted of laughter, tickling, and high fives. He soon went home and I didn't go to bed until midnight. Why can't I stop thinking of him? I didn't want to fall I'm love again.
