9:45am Sunday
First day of Autumn arrived, my favourite season of the year, the orange leaves making a blanket across the park's floor, the sweet smell of tree sap and the churpy tweets from the native King Parrots. I'm sitting in my egg chair, watching the world outside awaken from my window when my phone vibrates.
Jacob: Michelle, u awake?
It was Jacob, probably seeing if I can meet up with him at the park, typical Jacob.
Michelle: Morning J, what u been up to?
Jacob: Nothing much, u free?
Michelle: Always, want to meet up?
Jacob: Yeah, I was thinking the cafe, Morning Club??
Michelle: I would love to!
Jacob: Awesome, meet me there @ 10, cya!
Michelle: Okay, seeya soon!
Morning Club always made the best Chai's and coffee's with the dish of freshly cooked bacon and eggs. I got changed into my favourite pair of jeans and my comfy black puff jacket, as it was a little chilly outside and made my way down to the lounge room, where my parents of watching the Sunday Morning on TV.
"Morning Michelle, where are you going?" My dad questioned, doing his famous childish smile, knowing I was going to see Jacob. "Going to see pretty boy?" My dad just had to add.
I roll my eyes. "Dad, he's just a friend, I'm catching up with him at Morning Club, I'll be back by three."
My Dad smiled and nodded, still grinning like a boy just got a massive lollipop.
"Don't come back too late will you, Nanna and Grandpa are coming for dinner remember?" Mum softly spoke, she must still be half asleep, maybe that would explain the wandle she's doing and the large sleep bags she has under her eyes.
"Got it!" I smiled and gave my parents a kiss in the cheek. "I'll be back soon, love you!"
I walk out the door and I get a strong smell of fresh air, I take several long deep breaths and smile, my favourite part in the morning. I begin walking down my street, passing some kids on their bikes and an elderly couple walking their labrador. I give them a wave and I soon arrive out the front of the Morning Club. I look around to see if Jacob's already here, but he wasn't in sight.
Maybe Charlie stole his shoes again? I thought to myself, it wouldn't be new at all, Charlie always steals Jacobs shoes. I wait a bit longer before going in, and just as I knew it, I hear him ranning towards me, he looked puffed as he arrives he collapses onto the nearly bench, still huffing and puffing, it looked like he ran a marathon without water.
"Morning!" I say cheerfully as I sit down next to him, he looks at me, smirks and chuckles, his brown hair slicked back from him running so fast. "What happened?" I giggle a bit as he looks at me with that 'really?!' expression.
"Charlie." He says through deep breaths. I couldn't hold in my laughter, I broke. I crunch over holding my stomach laughing my head off.
"So a tiny beagle did this eh?" I chuckled.
"That little beagle is a bloody monster, I had my jeans but couldn't find my good puff jacket!" He complained with an added accent.
I laughed more. "What did Charlie do?"
"He ripped my good puff jacket! So I was chasing him around the house to tell him off, as soon as I knew it, it was five minutes past ten, so I asked my dad if he had a spare puff jacket I could bough but instead he gave me his old coat that looks like a detectives coat" Jacob cried and laughed and the same time.
