===== (Y/N's P.O.V)
"Did you study?" I rolled my eyes,
"I didn't. I'm sorry Grayson, I was just so-" He slammed open a book,
"I honestly don't care. Let's just get started."
~Grayson's P.O.V~
I could tell she was struggling to focus. I closed my book and sighed,
"You don't seem to be in the mood to study right now, so, how about I come over later and we study then?" She nodded,
"Okay. You know where my dorm is." She gathered her things and left.
~Study Session~
"14?" I shook my head,
"Try again." She took a deep breath,
"Oh. 25." I slammed my book closed,
"Y/N, do you really care about graduating? Do you care about moving up next year?" She looked scared,
"Y-yes?" I slid all of the books off of the desk,
"Well you're not acting like it! You're slacking, not doing your work, and you're not trying."
~Y/N's P.O.V~
The books felt like they hit the ground in slow motion,
"...and you're not trying." I stood up,
"I am trying. I am. Maybe if you tried understanding rather than getting mad every time I slip up, you'd see that." I stepped forward and leaned forward, getting in his face,
"I'm tired of you badgering me so hard. I'm trying, Grayson. I'm doing what I can. And you yelling at me so much isn't helping." He just looked down at me. My eyes began watering from how mad I was,
"Oh, so now you have nothing to yell about? No snarky comment? No smart ass come back? Huh?" I was purely instigating him now. It was petty, I know, but I was too angry to think straight. His cheeks bloomed pink. I stood my ground, but didn't step back. I only looked at the ground. In my peripheral, I saw his fists clenched. I smiled softly,
"What are you gonna do? Hm?" I looked him back in the eyes,
"Hit me? Push me around like one of your frat friends? Do it, Grayson." I opened my arms,
"Take a swing. Do what you will." I could tell that I was getting under his skin. I was making myself more mad too. He raised his hand. I flinched gently, but he gently grabbed my face and pulled me forward. He put his lips against my ear, I could tell he was speaking through gritted teeth,
"I'm just trying to push you. You're better than you think." I tensed up. He stepped away from me,
"You're not living up to your potential." All I could do was stare. Our eyes were locked and I felt a physical spark that made me jump,
"Let's get back to studying then."
