"Okay, have fun, guys! Text me if you need a ride home." Mom pulled up in front of George's house, and James and I got out of the car.
"Bye, Mom!" I waved, walking up to the porch. George lived in one of the nicest houses I've ever seen. His family was super rich, since his parents were both successful lawyers. James rang the bell, and George's dad came to the door.
"Hi, James! Hi, Max! George is in the back with everyone else, do either of you need to change?"
"I do," I replied. "Thanks for having us over."
"Oh, it's our pleasure. I'm always yelling at George for not having friends over." He laughed a little. "Please, come in. Bathroom is down the hall to the right." I walked into the bathroom as George's dad brought James outside. I quickly changed into the bathing suit that James gave me. I had to wear a bikini top underneath, but it wasn't noticeable.
I walked outside and was immediately greeted by Sidney, who was soaking wet. "Sekowski! You have to get in this pool, man, it's so awesome."
"Hey, Max!" George came over to say hello. "I can take your bag if you want."
"Thanks, George." I handed him my bag, and he put it on one of his many lounge chairs. I noticed that Jillian and Rich were both swimming, and Bex was watching from a lounge chair.
"Feel free to get in the pool," George said to James and me. I nodded, then put my foot in the water to feel the temperature. Suddenly, I felt myself being pushed, and I fell into the water. It felt refreshing, just barely cooler than the air.
I came up from under the water and saw Sidney cackling at me, along with James. "Oh my God, Sid, how old are you?" I found myself laughing along. It's so hard to stay mad at Sidney, as much as you may want to.
I had a lot of fun swimming with all my friends. We played sharks and minnows, splashed each other, and threw a football across the pool a couple of times. We even had a chicken fight; me and Sidney against Rich and George. After about an hour or so, George's mom came outside with a pitcher of lemonade and some cups.
"Hey, kids! Who's thirsty?" I found it so crazy how much George looked like his mom, they had the same olive skin and hazel eyes, and even the same curly hair.
"Sweet, lemonade!" Sidney quickly climbed out of the pool and grabbed a towel. "Thanks, Mrs. Williams!"
"My pleasure, Sidney! Take as much as you'd like."
"Hi, Mrs. Williams!" Rich exclaimed, following Sidney out of the pool.
"Rich! It's so wonderful to see you!"
"You, too, as always. I'd give you a hug, but I don't want to get you soaked." He laughed a little.
"How are you and Georgie doing?"
"We're doing great, I love him to death." George approached his mom, still dripping with water from the pool.
"Mom, please don't call me Georgie," he laughed.
"Oh, honey, relax. It's just Rich, he doesn't care." She ruffled his hair.
"It's kinda cute, actually," Rich smiled.
"Okay, everyone, I'm gonna bring this over to the lounge chairs, please help yourselves." She walked by the pool and set the lemonade down on a table next to my chair, which was on the end. "Maximillian and Jamie! Always wonderful to see you both." George's mom smiled at both of us as we got out of the pool. "And Jillian and Bex! Oh my goodness, you both got so tall!"
"Thanks for having us over," Bex exclaimed.
"Yes, I am having a lot of fun!" Jillian added.
"Oh, I'm so glad! If you guys need anything else, I'll be inside." She walked away, and everyone sat down to drink some lemonade and talk.
