8) The date!

Natsu and Lucy were walking back from the cafe holding hands and eating their pastries.

"I'm so sorry Luce! I didn't realize that they were almost completely out...I'm sorry you didn't get what you wanted.." Natsu said with a sad, apologetic tone. Lucy looked at home with sad eyes at his sad expression. She got in front of him making him look in her eyes, then kissed him. He was surprised but loved it.

"Natsu it's ok. You're already doing so much for me and I appreciate it very much. I don't need anything over the top or perfect, I'm just glad I'm her with you!" Lucy said with a smile cheering him up.

"But you deserve perfect." Natsu said looking at her. She grabbed his hand, then kissed him on the cheek, then squeezed his hand tighter. He looked at her and kissed her head. They were both sucked into the moment.

"So what are we doing anyway?" Lucy asked Natsu.

"Right right. We are heading to the mall to shop for each other! And after that it's still a surprise!!" Natsu said with a huge grin.

"Shopping....for each other?" Lucy asked confused.

"Yeah! I thought it would be fun! And there's a surprise for you in the mall!" Natsu said smiling brighter.

"Well what do you get?" Lucy asked him, smiling.

"I get....to look at you" he said sweetly. Lucy's heart melted. She gave him a big hug, and they continued walking to the mall. It was 10:30 when they arrived at the mall. They split up and told each other to meet them at the entrance of the mall at 11:30. Lucy got a text from Natsu that said :
I have something I forgot to tell you. We have something fancy to do tonight. So can you get me fancy clothes as well as something else like we had planned. To be honest I don't have any fancy things which is why I wanted to come here...and I have no taste in clothes. But there is still something here I want to surprise you with!! Hehe...

"Awwwww...he's so cute!!" Lucy said blushing and giggling. She went to a store and found a tux for Natsu, then decided to get him a confetti popper, because he said he wanted one. He's that dense, well kinda. It was 11:15 by the time she found everything, so she started to make her way back to the entrance of the mall.
Natsu went to a fancy dress store and bought her a super sexy, but modest, dress. Then he went to......the....lingerie store....oh Natsu....He picked up a black, lacy, and a short nighty for Lucy to wear. Natsu considered red or orange but he thought black would look better on her. He bought it and ran out of the store to got to the mall entrance. When he got there, Lucy was there waiting for him. But something was off. He saw Lucy talking to a guy. He started to fill with rage at the sight of her laughing with him. He went over to Lucy and the other guy and grabbed Lucy's waist.

"Oh hey Natsu!" Lucy smiled looking at him.

"Oh is this the boyfriend you were telling me about?" The guy asked smiling and looking at Natsu.

"Yep! Alex this is Natsu, Natsu this is Alex." Lucy said introducing to two boys. Natsu let go of Lucy's waist.

"Nice to meet you!" Alex said shaking Natsu's hand.

"Likewise." Natsu said still a bit confused on who this guy was.

"Me and Alex's family's are friends! At least when we were younger." Lucy said smiling.

"Yeah it's nice to see you again Luce! I've got to be going but we'll catch up later!" Alex said walking off into the mall and waving.

"C'ya!" Lucy said waving back. Natsu grabbed Lucy's hand and started walking somewhere in the mall.

"Natsu are you ok? And where are we going? Wait...are you jealous?" Lucy said smiling. Natsu blushed and looked down. She giggled and grabbed Natsu's hand tighter.

"There it is! Cover your eyes Luce." Natsu said getting really giddy. Lucy covered her eyes as she walked aimlessly following Natsu.

"Ok....open!" Natsu said really excited. She opened her eyes to see a celestial wizard shop. She started screaming with excitement and happiness for a shop JUST for celestial wizards.

"It's one of only two newly built celestial shops in the country!" Natsu said making Lucy more Happy.

"Now there's a store just for celestial wizards!! This is the best!! EEEKKKK!!" Lucy squealed excitedly and hugged Natsu. Natsu loved her happy smile. The store didn't open for another week, so they couldn't go in and roam it. They started walking off, continuing their date.

"Wait! How did you know about that shop?" Lucy asked confusingly.

"Yukunno was talking about it with Sting and Rouge and I was nearby so I overheard." Natsu said, trying to sound as though he found out on his own.

"Pfft! Sounds like you.." Lucy said with a smile. They were walking out of the mall, Lucy following Natsu's lead.

"So where's our next stop?" Lucy asked Natsu as her fingers intertwined with his.

"A club." Natsu said nonchalantly.

"A club?" Lucy asked in return.

"Yeah that's what the fancy outfit. is for! We were invited by our last client and I forgot to tell you. So I took this opportunity to make it a part of our date!" Natsu said proudly. He is very dense. Lucy just smiled at his ridiculous behavior. Natsu stomach growled, followed by Lucy's.

"But first is lunch!" Natsu said holding his belly.

"Yes please." Lucy said holding hers as well.
