Kaliahs POV

It's Sunday morning and Vonte is Just Leaving :(. I Hate when he leaves . I know I shouldn't be feeling him like that but how can I Not ? Ma asked me to come over for Sunday dinner and Vonte goes church faithfully so he had to leave . I Got dressed and left my house to head over to moms .

When I Made it there I saw a few more cars there dan usually and I figured it was Grandma or somebody . I got out my car texting Vonte smiling .

Me : Just Made it To my Moms , miss Me ?
My Boo: Nah Lil Baby...

My Boo : SIKE ! Lemme stop messing with your crazy ass . Dinner tonight ?

When I made it to the doorstep my dad opened it and picked me up . Every since the accident he's been paying more attention to me . Weird Yo .

Me : Daddy Put me Down I'm Not 6 !

Daddy : I know baby , but you never come see your ole man !

Me : Sorry Daddy , between school and work I been busy .

Oh Yeah , I forgot to tell y'all . Your Girl Got A Job At Forever 21 !

I walked into the living room where I heard laughing coming from . I stopped dead in my track when I Saw Quay and his mom . This muffucker ?! And my mama just set me up !! Y'all my own mama !!

Mama : Hey princess I'm glad you made it !

Me : Mama what's going on here ?

Mama : oh nothing I just decided to invite Quay and his mother over for dinner .

I Looked at her hard and walked over to Quay's Mother . I Leaned over and hugged her . I missed her so much . Her hugs were like the remedy for everything that could possibly go wrong . She was like my second moms .

Me : Hey Mama

Mrs . R : So I'm Still Mama huh ?

Me : don't say that , you'll always be my mama man . I love you !

She smirked and kissed my cheek . Momma yelled out it was time for dinner so I walked to the dining room . Quay wasn't paying me any attention and I wasn't paying him any . He looked like he was dresses for church . He had his dreads braided back , a Ligjt blue Polo Shirt ( my fav color ) and some khaki pants with so Forces . I stared him down for a second . God this man so damn fine , where did we go wrong ? Suck it Up Kaliah that bitching shit ain't gone get you know where . Let him know what he missed .

I sat down between Quay and his Mom . All during Dinner Quay interacted with my dad and had a good conversation with my mom . For a second I felt tears well in my eyes cause I knew this was meant to be , but I couldn't bring myself to get back with Quay .

Me : Can I be Excused ?

Mama : um.. Of course baby

I got up and walked into the bathroom and stared into the mirror . My phone started ringing and I saw it was Vonte .

Vonte - wassup ma , I'm free you ready to go ?
Me : I'm still at my parents , my mama had the nerve to invite Quay without me knowing .
Vonte : damn she pulled the old tricks out on you lol
Me : this is not funny .. I'm miserable here .
Vonte : come over my house I got a surprise for you ma.
Me : okay :)

I walked out the bathroom and re-entered the living room . I grabbed my plate that I barely touch and took it into the kitchen . I kiss everyone Except quay and apologized about leaving early .
