5 - daisy

- morning -

i wake up and prepare myself for sarah. i'm kind of scared not gonna lie.

i get dressed in a long sleeve navy shirt and tuck it in some black high waisted jeans. i keep my hair down and put on my usual makeup. i wear my air force 1's and go to the kitchen.

"hey mom, hey dad." i say and give them both a kiss on the cheek.

"hey pumpkin." my dad says and gives me a kiss on my forehead.

"hey sweetie." my mom says doing the same

my mom gives me my breakfast which is toast and orange juice and i of course eat it.

"oh ella." my mom says and i look up at her. "this lady came by the flower shop yesterday and asked about you."

i smile. "oh it's this nice lady and she said she will visit everyday for me."

my mom smiles. "i told her when you'll be working and she said she'll visit for you."

i smile and continue eating.

"oh shit i'm gonna be late." my dad says rushing. he kisses my mom "bye baby." and kisses my forehead "bye pumpkin." and leaves.

i look at the time on my phone. "shoot i'll be late too."

"bye mom." i say and wave and walk out of the house.

the florist isn't open yet. it opens at 10am and it's 7:10 now.

- at school -

i walk in and maddison, tana, riley and hannah greet me.

"oh hey girls." i say smiling.

"hey ella." they say. "don't worry you can hang out with us."

"thank you." i say. "did sarah start a rumour about me?"

"yeah but no one even believed her." hannah says.

"yeah everyone just laughed at her because sleeps trying." tana tells me.

"oh." i say. "what was it even about."

"she said that you hooked up with the janitor but it was the most stupid lie because the janitor doesn't work on mondays and yesterday was your first day." maddison says rolling her eyes.

i chuckle.

- after school -

sarah kept trying to annoy me today but maddison, tana, hannah and riley backed me up. i haven't seen brandon today but i don't really care.

i walk to my car and see brandon making out with a girl on his car which is next to mine. i don't really care.

brandon notices that i'm there and he opens his eyes in the kiss and winks at me. i don't really care.

have you noticed that i don't really care?

he pulls away from the kiss and walks over to me. the girl leaves.

"hey ella." he says.

"hi." i say and face him. "why'd you leave your make out session?"

"are you jealous?" he says smiling.

"i am not jealous. i've only known you for 3 and a half days." i explain.

"you're jealous." he smirks.

"why do you have to be such a jerk?" i tell him. "i'm not fucking jealous just because i asked you a question! i was actually disgusted and it turned me off!"

he smirks. "so you were turned on before?"

"okay i'm leaving now." i say and drive away.

i actually wasn't jealous! why would he think like that?!

- at home -

i'm working today so as soon as i get home i put my stuff away in my room and replace my mom at the flower shop. it's not really busy today so i sit down and do my homework at the register.

by the way the flower shop closes at 6pm on sundays and 8pm on weekdays.

- 5pm -

we've had around 6 customers so far and i've finished doing my homework. i'm really bored but it doesn't matter. the door opens and it's brandon. i look up at him and give him a weird look.

he goes to the daisy flowers and picks one out. "i got you something."

"what?" i say confused.

he puts the daisy on my ear.

i smile. "what's that for?"

"i don't know." he answers. "what're you doing later?"

"nothing. why?"

"do you want to uhh hang out?" he asks.

"are you going to say how i was jealous when i wasn't?" i tell him.

he chuckles. "no i promise."

"aren't you hanging out with your friends?"

"i already did."

"oh." i say. "okay. meet me at the beach in 2 hours."

"yes sir." he answers.

"okay ma'am. now leave." i say and he leaves.
