Truculent - eager or quick to argue or fight; aggressively defiant.

Tony Stark woke up with a groan, he had a headache. With his palm on his forehead, he checked the time on his phone. Suddenly, he shot up and got out of bed, he was going to be late on his first day.

"Stephen-" The boy started before being interrupted.

"I'm up, Stark. Check again."

Tony tilted his head, 'Check again?' He glanced at his phone screen once more and let out a heavy sigh of realization. It was actually one hour earlier, but he had read the time wrong.

He sunk back into his bed with closed eyes, enjoying the extra time he had after the stress. Speaking of stress, his headache had gotten worse after getting up so fast.

Tony Stark sighed, he should have brought some sort of medication to ease his headache, but he didn't, his lack of sleep didn't help either. He had only gotten three hours of sleep, and that was a record.

"I have painkillers in one of the draws...the..second one i believe." Stephen spoke, not moving or even opening an eye.

"What?"

"Surely you have a headache after getting three hours of sleep. Correct?"

Tony didn't answer, how did he know? Especially of his lack of sleep, he had fallen asleep before Tony did. Stark sat up with opened eyes, looking at the other with a confused face. Is he some sort of magician? Or even a wizard?

"Suree..." He trailed off "Wizard."

"I am not a wizard." Stephen responded quickly, opening an eye.

"Sure thing, wizard." Tony Stark spoke with a grin, standing up and walking over to the boys drawer. He watched the draws, remembering Stephen saying that the painkillers were in the second draw. What was in the other draws?

"Shut it, asshole." Stephen Strange responded grumpily. Tony couldn't help but notice how defensive he was about the nickname. Maybe he was a wizard? Who knows.

He opened the second one and searched for the bottle, eventually spotting it, the boy grabbed it and twisted off the cap. Tony grabbed a pill and a bottle of water from the other night, he swallowed the pill with the help of the water, putting back the bottle and closing the draw.

Stark turned around and saw Stephen getting himself ready. Right. School.

He watched the other for a second and shrugged 'Not bad.' Tony Stark thought, thinking nothing of it. He also began to get himself ready for school, otherwise he would be late.

TIME SKIP

Tony Stark and Stephen Strange arrived to school, the sorcerer was going to create a portal there, but being the only sorcerer in the school, The Ancient One wanted him to stay shut about his magic. Just in case, of course.

Eventually, the two boys who walked beside eachother left to their own friend groups.

"Hey Tony!" A voice yelled, catching his attention and making him walk over with a smile. While it wasn't all of his friends, the current group had Rhodey, Bruce, Nat, Loki and Clint. "How's your roommate?" Bruce had asked with interest.

Tony groaned at the mention of him "Boring. He always reads and hates jokes. He won't tell me what made him get into the school either-" he could have went on and on about the annoying things of Stephen.

Meanwhile, Stephen Strange was with his friends, Thor, Sam, T'Challa, and Steve. "-eah! His name is Tony Stark- the billionaire kid. He genuinely is the worst roommate to have. Apparently my nickname is now 'Wizard' after i got snappy to him about it. He barely ever sleeps, and while I'm reading he starts pestering me. Honestly, no peace and quiet with him at all."

Thor let out a laugh "Sounds like a true menace." He spoke with a smile, pointing at Tony Stark subtly "That's him? The small one?"

"Yup, that's the one." Stephen replied, glancing over at Stark "Isn't that your brother, Loki?"

"Yeah-" Thor started, but he got interrupted by Steve.

"Tony isn't as annoying as you'd think. He can be a genuine and kind person. Dare i say selfless aswell." Steve spoke, watching Tony for a second. The group immediately looked at him with confused looks.

"And you know this..how??" Stephen asked him, bewildered.

"I'm his friend- well- if we saw eachother in the halls we'd have a conversation. Soo, friendly, more or less."

"Well, he annoys me. So-" Stephen was stopped by the loud bell, he managed to catch a glimpse at Tony. The other had flinched at the sound, making him chuckle.

"My first period class is Math by the way"

"Ugh, none of us have it. I guess we'll see you at lunch! Bye Stephen!" Steve spoke, waving at him, making him wave back.

TIMESKIP (Sorry for so many timeskips!)

Tony walked into lunch, sitting at his friends table which he spotted quickly. Stephen had also sat at his table that was halfway across the room.

"Soo- Tony, have any classes with Stephen?" Rhodey had asked as Tony sat at the table.

"Nope. Phew" The boy responded, he didn't want him in any either, to Tony, Stephen would just ruin the mood.

"Imagine if he heard you saying that stuff about him." Nat joked with a smirk, Clint chuckled.

"Eh, he's probably saying similar stuff about me right now. I wouldn't blame him, i tend to annoy him constantly" Tony replied with a shrug and a smile.

The group continued to talk and talk, always jumping topics while Stephens group did similar.

"My roommate is Loki!" Thor boasted pridefully "Maybe i can find out more about the tiny mortal for you through my brother."

"I doubt that would work, but i guess it can be attempted." Stephen Strange responded, he really did doubt it, but it was worth a shot.

"You'll find out how he really is, you just have to get to know him." Rogers spoke, Stephens gaze met his

"You speak so highly of him, you realize that, right?" Sam said, raising both arms partially to exaggerate his point.

"Of course i do, he's different."

"Everyone's different, Steve." Stephen rolled his eyes, he was convinced he wasn't ever going to like Tony Stark. "His father is a billionaire and he acts just like how i expected the son of a billionaire to act."

Steve grinned with an i don't believe that look. "You'll see. I'll guarantee you that in two weeks, you'll think he's the complete opposite."

"Only two weeks?" Stephen scoffed with a smirk "I'll hate him for more than that."

Sam and Thor glanced at eachother, T'Challa was just watching, thinking that these two were complete idiots.

"We'll see. Starting today, you have to hate him for two weeks." Steve replied, challenging the other. Stephen nodded with a grin.

That's when the lunch bell rang.

'Time for a ride.' Stephen thought to himself.
