it's been a couple of days since you last seen the unconscious male and to be honest, you kind of forgot about him. you've been so busy with work and he just slipped out your mind. "wow this is just what I needed after a long day at work" you said after taking a sip of the cold bottled water you just bought to the store along with other things you needed.

you were currently walking down the dark pathway to your home, many of the lights that were on were very dim but that was enough for you to see in front of you maybe five or six yards. walking from right under a light, you saw something out of the ordinary. it looked like a huge hole? you slowed down your pace as you got closer to the hole in the wall.

you couldn't see anything at first but you most definitely heard breathing, thinking that someone might be hurt, you slowly step in and asked if anyone needed help. "wait what is there's a monster in here?" you said to yourself under your breath while still walking forward, unconsciously. you spotted a figure laying down in a pile of debris.

"excuse me, are you okay?" you asked keeping some distance in between you and the figure just in case it was a trap. after some time in silence, you picked up a big piece of debris and threw it on the still person— as a person with awful aim, you accidentally threw it on his nose. you quickly covered your mouth and heard a groan but nothing after that.

you decided that the large man was actually unconscious and you walked beside him. you tilted your head in confusion, you recognize the man but you don't know where from. you stare at the man for a couple of minutes before snapping your fingers and pointing your finger at him. "you're the guy that I helped last time!" you smiled and mentally patted yourself on your back.

"wait a minute, why are you here?" you scanned his body and saw that he was covered in bruises and blood. you had no choice but to help him "please don't make me regret this later." you attempt to lift him up but he weighed a shit ton (or you just needed to start working out). "please not again, my back can't handle this" you stranded out as you stopped trying to pull him up.

A few mumbled incoherent noises came out his mouth as you huffed and shook your head. you didn't want to use your power but it seemed like you had no choice. closing your eyes, you imagined your arms and legs strengthening in power. after a few minutes, you pulled him up again and got him onto his feet, you slowly turned around and grabbed his legs and lifted him onto your back.

"I hope the pain isn't too bad once this wears off." you began walking to the hole, trying your best not to trip over the debris the scattered the ground. you stepped out the hole and contemplated what you should do with him. "if I were him, I would rather go to the hospital than have some random stranger patch me up but too bad, he's going to pay me back the money I spend on him." also there was a recent attack that had a lot of people injured so you didn't want them to do a half ass job on healing him, even if he was a random person you didn't know.

you turned in the direction of your house and tried your fastest to get to your house, without drawing too much attention to yourself. while walking you gained some confused stares but no one said anything and no one dared asked if you needed any help.

after about five minutes, you arrived to your apartment building and opened the entrance doors and headed towards the elevator.  you clicked on the 'down' button and waited patiently for the elevator to come to ground level. you readjusted your hands into a more comfortable position.

Ding.

the door slid up and stood a man that looked a couple of years older than you. you awkwardly smiled and gave a light bow, with confusion written all over his face, he gave you a small bow back. once he stepped out the elevator, you heard his footsteps pick up in pace. you sighed and stepped into the elevator.

you clicked your floor number and watched as the metal dull doors closed; you leaned your head against the wall and huffed. "we're almost home." you could feel that the effects of the usage of your power was slowly draining from your body, but you weren't too worried since you were almost home.

once you reached your floor, the dull metal heavy doors slid open. you prepared yourself for the walk and stepped out, the lights in the hallway were dimmer than usual; only about four or five were working when usually all ten would be lighting up even the darkest of corners. feeling a little paranoid (and having nosy elderly ladies living in the same hall as you), you sped up your walking pace— a spine-chilling shiver made its way up your back as you got closer and closer to your door.

luckily though your area had some light shining between you and your neighbors door. you knew you had to get your keys out soon but you couldn't put the male down from your back or else you probably wouldn't be able to get him back on so you leaned your body forward as much as you could without falling so that gravity would help him stay on.

you carefully removed one of your hands from the back of his thigh and searched in your back pocket for your keys but you can't seem to feel the little hero figure that was connected to your keyset. you dug deeper into your pocket until you felt that familiar shape, you sighed in relief and pulled the keyset with only four keys attached to it. you stepped in front of your door and the worst possible thing happened, the scenario that you wished wouldn't happen, it had only a ten percent chance of happening and it did.

She was there.
