The King

When I regain conscienceness I find myself sitting in a velvet covered chair right in front of a grand oak desk. The room I am in is painted a different colour on each wall. A flame red with orange patterns on the wall behind the desk opposite me and a deep blue on my right. Behind me is a bright green wall with dark green patterns the same as the other side of me. On the wall left it is a pearly colour.

I take all this in and whisper to myself "Who would have such a lovely room,". Then a chair pops into existance right behind the desk but not facing me it is facing the opposite direction.

The chair slowly turns around and in it appears to be a man in his 60's. He has a short white beard with short white hair. He has glasses roughly the size of a denarium coin. The man appears to be tall and slender but has skin that is slightly pale. "Hello Mary," the man says in a warm and welcome way.

"Hello may I ask who you are?" I politely question the man.

"I, miss Mary, am the king of Tirian." The man said in a calm voice. This makes me stare in shock.

"Your highness," I say bowing as deep as I can. I can't believe it I am talking to the king of TIrian.

"Get up Mary," he says as a deep look of seriousness takes over his face. "Mary, you of all people do not need to bow down to me."

I am puzzled by this remark and so I just go and sit down in my chair. "Your highness I have so many questions to ask you like who was the person that was talking to me and how I was moved around without......"that was all I said as the king put up his hand telling me to be quiet.

"All in good time you shall know the answers you seek but for now let me tell you why you are here."

"Where is she!" Jude exclaimed. She was pacing around the white room where Mary had gone to the so called 'appointment'.

"I don't know maybe the appointment is taking longer than expected," Elijah said as he entered the room. Elijah had become fond of Jude and over the time they had spent together he had come to know her a lot better to.

"Oh! Um hi Elijah," Jude said startled by his sudden appearance. "How are you taking all of this?"

"All of what?" Elijah asked all though he knew what she meant.

"You know, being taken away from your family, not knowing where you are all that," She said speaking nervously. Jude always got nervous around him as he was a school leader.

"Oh yeah that. Well it isn't that bad, I mean the food's great." He said in a sad voice. "How about you?"

"Well my parents didn't really care that much about me so yeah all I really had was Mary most of my life." Jude Almost started crying then as the pain of her parents not really caring about her had suddenly hit her full force.

"Well at least Mary got to come with you....." His voice trailed off suddenly and a big smile spread across his face.

"It's not funny!" Jude shouted at him thinking that he was laughing at her.

"No its not is it,"

Jude almost jumped out of her skin as she heard that voice. She turned around and standing there was Mary. "Mary!" she shouted as she flew into her sisters arms nearly knocking her flat on her back. "Where were you? How did you go? What was the appointment about?" Jude said so fast that it was hard to tell what she was saying.

"I'll tell you but first I'm starving." And as she said that a table appeared with a giant buffet on it.
