What are Chakras?
Chakras are the concentrated energy centers of the body.
Chakra is a sanskrit term and it means "wheel" or "disk" and it's derived from the word "cakra"
Chakras are spinning wheels of energy and light. They have the responsibility of taking in and spreading energy to keep us functioning at optimal levels.
7 MAJOR CHAKRAS
Root Chakra:
it's located at the base of the spine. And the chakra color is red. This Chakra represents safety, survival, grounding, and nourishment fromthe Earth's energy.
Sacral Chakra:
it's located below or at the navel (belly button) and it's color is orange. It carries meanings associated with emotions, creativity, sexuality, and is associated with water, and flow.
Solar Plexus:
it is located at the stomach area and it's color is yellow. Symbolizes mental activities, intellect, personal power, and will.
Heart Chakra:
it is located at the center of the chest and it's color is green. It's connected with love, relating, integration, and compassion.
Throat Chakra:
it is located at the base of the throat and the chakra color is blue. Self expression, expression of truth, creative expression, communication, perfect form, and patterns.
Third eye Chakra:
it is located between the eyebrows and the color of this chakra is indigo. It evokes intuition, extrasensory perception, and inner wisdom
Crown Chakra:
This chakra is located at the top of your head. (Your hair) and its color is violet. It's associated with the universal connection with spirituality, and consciousness.
Why do the Chakra's have colors?
Each color reflects a type of vibration or frequency radiating through the chakras.
Here's a list of the chakra's and what body part it affects.
Root; Bones and bone marrow
Sacral; Nervous system
Solar Plexus; Lungs and lung tissue
Throat; etheric body and optimal bodily functions
Third eye; Fascia (keeps our body muscles in tact), skin
- Each Chakra coincides with the pineal gland or the 3rd eye.
The next chapter will be about how to unlock these chakras. And the third one will be about the other four chakras that we have.
