IN WHICH THEY EACH OTHERS STRENGTH.
At first glance, you would easily say they where star crossed lovers, like in earth's tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. How if her lover was dead she would kill herself to join him in the afterlife. That fast burning love that would be over in moments, love at first glance. And of that first heartbreak. How would feel your heart strings snap one by one, your fragile heart silently breaking like porcelain.
But, they where nowhere near star crossed as Shakespeare once wrote about.
They where everything else.
Nothing was perfect, their romance slow burning and calm, yet growing everyday, bigger and bigger.
Relationships are built on trust, like love and friendship. They had to start somewhere right?Love was a foreign concept for the both of them. Both coming from lonely backgrounds, friendship never kept for long; always on the move.
That was until The Mandalorian found a golden woman waiting for the day she tarnished into darkness.
She once was a general of the rebellion once upon a time, the execution process going smoothly until the man in crimson armor and the golden woman locked eyes. This was not love at first sight, for all the woman knew she was going to die for the cause she believed in and thought nothing of the masked man except for the fact he was moving towards her as she was brought to her knees, weaving in and out of the shadows.
He had saved her that day.
She didn't know why, and quite frankly neither did he. All he was doing was turning in a bounty as he was walking by the room when he felt as if someone had smacked him upside the head.He felt like it was right, he couldn't explain it and neither could she. It was as if a force had led him to her tarnishing form. The destiny of one of the strongest bonds the galaxy had ever seen had just begun as they worked together to slay all the stormtroopers flooding into the silver room.
It was almost too perfect how they worked together. It was destiny that led them to the bond of friendship and a trust stronger than beskar.
How they fought for each other as if they where each others life line. The promise of avenging the other if one was down during battle, broke the star crossed lovers idea, why would they kill themselves if their lover died. The thought was absurd to the both of them.
So the bond grew, stronger with each bounty, all the witty banter, teasing grins and the deep talks that lead to secrets being slowly let out of the chambers they both had locked deep within themselves. Slowly but surely, that friendship caught on fire.
Fate had led them to the bond, but it was their choice to fall- no, slowly walk into love with each other.
With every fight, the blood, sweat, tears and near death experiences that almost give Mando a heart attack, they wouldn't trade that day for anything else.
