Puppies!

(Amy's POV)
It's the last class of the day,and my favorite. This class we got to choose, so I chose Animal Care. Since I used to have a cat at home I thought I would be pretty good at it. Everyday a group of animals from the animal shelter are brought to our school to get ready for adoption. Maria takes this class, she is so sweet to all of the animals! Well I better get going...

I walked over to the small building on the perimeter of the school. I heard it was originally going to be a separate shower room for sports,but they just use the gym's now. So we were left with showers and dress rooms,ideal for a make-shift pet salon. I walked into the building and quickly shut the door behide me. I was greeted by two puppies.They ran around me a couple of times. Before they could get away, I snatched them up. They were black labs. One was all black,while the other had a white underbelly that wrapped around his bottom jaw. They are so cute!
"O my gosh! Thank you!" I looked up to see Sonia, Sonic's sister, run up to me. She had two kittens in her hands."Those two keep getting away!" She struggled to keep the kittens in her arms.
"How about I take these two with me." I suggested. She thanked me and I headed to the cleaning room.

After a difficult bath and drying I brought them to the dress up table. Maria was there,handling a quite big husky mix. She was putting a bow tie on the poor dog.
"Hey Amy." She said,not taking her eyes off her target.
"Hi!" I set the pups down on the table. They started to wrestle each other. They are too cute! The all black one broke from the other one and let out a little howl. I had also found out that the black one was a girl and the other was a boy.
"Buddy..." I said,looking at the boy,"and...Brandy!" I looked at the howling girl.
"Cute names!" Maria complemented,"I named mine FireCracker!" We both giggled. I put a blue collar on Buddy, then a pink on Brandy.
"Girls!" The head person of the operation came over to us. "I would like to let you know that you have an opportunity to adopt the animals you have taken care of today!" We both gasped. What was my answer? YES!!!

Me and Maria walked out with our new dogs. I couldn't chose between the both of them,so I adopted them both! Maria adopted FireCracker,but we like to call her Cracker.
"Shoot! I forgot about my swim!" I couldn't take my puppies to swim!They would run lose!
"Don't worry! I can look after them in the bleachers while you swim!" Maria offered. I told her I owed her and we walked to the pool. I handed her my puppies' leashes and walked into the locker room.

(Shadow's POV)
After school, Me,Sonic and Silver headed to the pool. Before we got there we heard barking.
"Hey get back here!" I heard a girl exclaim.
We rushed over to the pool. We arrived to see Maria chasing around two little puppies. Not to far away,a bigger dog was tied to a fence.
"I'll get them!" Silver yelled and used his powers to stop the pups in mid stride.Maria walked over and picked up the two trouble makers.
"Thanks Silver." He nodded.
"So what are you doing here Maria?" Sonic asked.
"I'm taking care of Amy's puppies for her!"She giggled as the puppies licked her face.Amy....
"Where is she?" I asked.
"She is being ready for swim practice."
"Well nice seeing ya!" Sonic cut the talk short and dragged us to the community pool.
