"Isn't it sad when you get hurt so much, you can finally say "I'm used to it?" "-Unknown

3rd Person Pov

The tension in the air didn't go unnoticed to everyone stuck in the situation. You weren't able to tell who looked more terrified, the boy who was still being pinned to a fridge or the people pinning the boy. The only person wearing a different expression than the rest, other than Aaron of course, was Jayden who had an unreadable expression plastered on his face.

The atmosphere remained still for a moment before it was finally evidently broken.
"I said, what's going on here" the voice spoke sending unwanted shivers down Jayden's spine. The room stared quiet, wary of who would be the one to crack first.

Jayden's eyes stayed glued to the floor, too afraid to look up at the person who had single-handedly ruined his sleep schedule because of the unwanted dreams that filled his head.

"Chill, we were only talking to them, weren't we guys..." came a reply followed by a series of rigid nods from the group.

"And now you're leaving," Aaron said quickly, his voice holding disdain to the collective group, "Aren't you" he finished.

Silence settled back into the atmosphere as he grit his teeth, swallowing his pride and finally responding back to him
" ...Yes. We were..."

Turning away, he walked back to the sea of drunk teens followed shortly after by his friends.

"Thank you" Caleb pronounced slowly breaking the lingering silence. Aarons gaze sweeping over Caleb before locking eyes with Jayden.

Time freezing around them as they both held each other's gaze,  unaware of each other's inner thoughts.

"My pleasure" he replied,  his eyes never losing contact with Jayden's.

Tingles ran down Jayden's spine as he let what he said to sink into the farthest regions of the brain. 'Pleasure'  the word alone left butterflies in his stomach. He broke eye contact feeling his face flush, he hated himself for lusting after someone whose name he had never got the chance to ask for.

"Jayden, Caleb!" Someone called out, not even having to turn around he knew exactly who it was. "Where the fuck have you guys bee-" she paused mid-sentence.

She came to a halt standing next to Caleb before dragging him away saying that someone was looking for him.

Jayden could feel his heart racing, the rhythmic beating of his heart filled his ears. He could feel the tension in the air, neither of them saying anything but in their minds, they eyes roaming each other body.

"Follow me" said Aaron breaking their silent love quest.

"Huh" Jayden questioned,  his moth silently parted slightly as his eyebrow raised.

"Something tells me that's social gatherings aren't really your thing" he replied his hands sliding into his jean pockets, making his muscles tense out more. "So I propose we go somewhere else"
Jayden gave a brisk nod before following Aaron back to his empty room, Aaron sat down on his bed silently thanking God that the girls previously occupying the room had left.

"Sit" he commanded and like a moth drawn to a flame, Jayden obliged sitting a good distance away from him on the bed.
"You don't talk much do you," he said trying to initiate conversation.

"... n-not really" replied mentally slapping for stuttering..

"You should speak more often"

"You hardly know me..."

"I know a lot more about you than you think Jayden"

"... H-h-how do you know my name"
