"Those teenagers who sit in their room crying themselves to sleep at night were once kids with light in their eyes and hope in their hearts" -Unknown

A/N just to warn you beforehand, there's a bit of smut in this chapter, I'm sorry if it sounds terrible, I had no idea what I was doing when I wrote it and i had to stop typing because I felt embarrassed writing it, is this how people feel when writing sexual scenes?

JAYDEN DOYLE

I sat at the back of the class, head down as I tried futilely to keep myself awake long enough to hear the teacher come in. I had woken up late due to the alarm on my phone being muffled by the fact that I had totally forgotten to put my phone on my nightside, also due to my negligence my phone wasn't charged and had automatically switched promptly after I had turned my alarm off.

Fortunately enough I had caught a glimpse of the time before it died in my hands, unfortunately, I had 25 minutes to shower, get dressed, get a bagel from the cafeteria and run to class before I was classed as late for my second day in school.

My luck couldn't have ended there no, no of course not it never did. I had stubbed my toe in my haste to the attached shower room, screamed bloody mary because of it and was forced to hop to the bathroom while my toe healed.

The universe decided my string of bad luck wasn't enough and I had accidentally burnt myself in the showers due to having no time to get the temperature to something savory. I had forgotten to hang my towels when I had visited earlier during the school holidays to bring some bathroom necessities, more clothes than I needed and my schoolbag filled with notebooks and a pencil case.

Due to this, I had to walk back into my room naked and completely embarrassed even though I knew I was on my own. After I had eventually dried myself, got dressed and made a beeline for the door, I had almost left my key in its hole and went to class. Having to skip breakfast much to my stomach's protest since I hadn't eaten anything solid last night.

Upon my arrival in class, before the bell I might add, I had noticed everyone already in friendship groups and me being my introverted self had decided to lay low instead of potentially making new friends with the stereotypical high school cliches. The gossip girls who wore an excessive amount of makeup. The 'Jocks' who dated the gossip girls and contracted some disease from them with the number of guys they slept with. The nerds who dated the bad boys in every romance novel I had read. The bad boys acted as misfits thereby presuming that they were seen as hardcore.

Unfortunately, my friends weren't in the same class as me so I didn't have anyone to talk to, fortunately, this meant two things: I couldn't get in trouble for laughing like a maniac because of a joke they felt like telling me and I could focus more on actually learning in this class.

I stifled a yawn as a middle-aged woman with black-rimmed glasses and a permanent scowl on her face walked in. She introduced herself as Miss Abigail and that's as far as I remember before I dozed off right there in the middle of class.

I grinned as I retold what had happened that morning to Olivia on our way to our last lesson for the day, which I had with her although that didn't change the fact that I had physical education. Who is there right mind would name a subject physical education and not expect someone to misinterpret it. I wouldn't mind misinterpreting it that way if the teacher was hot enough.

I moved out the way just in time to narrowly miss a pole that stood in front of me. I looked over at Olivia with a shocked look on my face.

"What the hell!" I glared playfully at her.

"You weren't listening to me, were you" She accused.

"Yes I was" I defended

"Oh, oh really, then tell me what I was talking to you about" her right hand placed firmly on her waist while her left proceeded to jab my chest repeatedly with her fake talons.
