crystalline moonlight dances between blinds, streaming in opal rays. it pools onto cold and silent sheets, where not even a heart beat is to be seen. my fingers grasp at my chest, begging it to unlock its frosted chains, crack open and let love rain free. but it's coils are rusted shut. i always believed pain was at its worse when it was inflicted upon me, my own skin sizzling under the dagger words of uncaring lips. but tonight i know a new pain; the guilt of my own truth. the misery twisted within me overflowing from poison induced anxiety, but honest nonetheless. when you hurt the ones you love, and can do nothing but watch their heart melt into dust, pain becomes your native language. in shadows you will see the ghosts of their face, refusing to let you die with any grace to your name. but you deserve it don't you? or was this fated long before your cells had even divided once, twice, thrice. so i will bend my bones until they break, watching moons wane just as i do.
