((This was a request, and I absolutely could NOT refuse!😄))

"This is going to be a long ride..."

-Luke-

"C'mon, Luke! It'll be fun! A road trip with your best friend..."

I glare at Calum as he begs me. He's already been told no by both Michael and Ashton when he asked. I'm his 'last hope' as he kept saying.

You see, Calum had recently gotten his drivers license taken away because...well, he's a shit driver, really...
He wants one of us to take him out of town so he can meet some girl. None of us like her, but he's dead set on scoring with her.

"Pleaaaase Luke, please! Please, please, please?!" Calum's pulling on my arm, begging with his lip puckered out.
I stare at him for a moment from where I'm sitting on the couch, my arm being tugged to the side as he hugs it and begs louder.

"Just a few hours of driving, Luke. Come on! Please?!" He tugs on my arm again, "I'll buy you food on the way back. I promise."

I finally react to his begs, and jerk my arm away, "Let's get in the car." I mumble.

He yells out victoriously, jumping up from the couch and practically skipping to the door. I roll my eyes as I follow, my keys in my pocket.

"You owe me food, freeloader."

When in the car(can be any car you'd like because I'm lazy rn), Calum sits in the passenger seat while I'm in the driver's. I'm quick to pull out of the driveway and start down the road.

"What's the address?" I wonder, reaching down to turn on the GPS. Calum takes the device and types something in. He then sets it up on the dashboard facing me. I sigh as a robotic British woman's voice calls out directions.

"Calum, really..." I groan in annoyance.
He knew I hated the damned voices.

He smiles innocently, shrugging, "What? She's trying to help."

I look over to shoot him a glare before setting my eyes forward.

This is going to be a long ride.

"We're lost."

"No we're not!"

"Yes, we are, Calum! We've passed that tree five times already!"

"It's a tree. They all look the same. Just keep driving."

Another thirty minutes later, and the sun is setting. When we pass the same tree again, I pull over into the side of the road.

"What're you doing?" Calum questions.

I take the GPS and set the route back to home, "This is shit. This whole ride has been utter shit."

"Luke, why can't you just--"

Calum's words are cut off when I pull back onto the road and the car starts jerking roughly.

"Oh no." I press on the gas, but we're slowly jerking down the road and to a stop not too far from where we'd pulled off at.

"No. No. No." I repeat, checking the gas meter before cussing.

"Out of gas." Calum concludes, slumping in his seat.

I nod, rubbing my eyes with the heels of my palms, "Yeah, and it's all your fault." I snap.

He doesn't deny it, but looks out the window with a frown.
