I woke up to sun coming from the small holes on the wooden shed, ouro was already out of bed, he seems to wake up really early, I got out  of bed to walk outside to hear loud banging noise on metal.

I follow the noise to find ouro hitting a metal pole into the ground, not just one but many, "what this for?" He looked up at me as he wiped sweat from his fore head, "it's an electric fence, you haven't seen on before?"

I looked at the fences confused to how they worked since there was nothing connecting them, only the poles, "no, I've lived in the city most my life so I wouldn't know, "nothing can get inside in between the poles, it's to keep us safe from the people who are destroying everything, my parents used to live here so I knew where they where"

he looked sad after he mentioned his parents, I was to scared to ask "what happend to the house they lived at? There's only the greenhouse and shed" he looked more sad than before, I regretted asking "it burnt down" he got back to work, I felt like I made things awkward, not the first time I've made things awkward.

I walked away and sat on a tyre on the ground throwing small rocks across the dead land, nothing was growing here, I wasn't born when the droughts killed everything, it turned jungles to dust, rivers to nothing.

2 million people died just from the drought that year, the government left them to die, they had to rebuild their society but it didn't work out, everyone was to corrupt and history repeated its self, now we've got radiation leaks all over the world.
