I sit in a quite large room that is shockingly not a cell and if this is their cells then I am a little concerned about how we haven't beaten them. This room is gorgeous regal enough for a queen but also nowhere near the beauty of the suite before. A large four-poster bed sits against the wall with beautiful blue drapes closing it off mostly. In the right corner of the room, there is a large sitting area with very plush looking couches. The couches and chairs in the sitting area are also the deep rich blue of the drapes. The chairs have gold buttons and lining detailing them and giving them a regal touch. The left wall of the room has three doors across it with gold detailing embedded into the black wood. One of the doors is further from the others for good reason and leads to a full-sized balcony with a view of the massive city below. The walls were grey with black trim and I am very shocked to say that not a single wall hand a stain or chipped paint area. I sit on the floor near the sitting area back flat against the wall. The large door I was walked through hasn't moved in a few hours, nor have I heard on person walk by. I know the guard that escorted me here has not moved from the front of the door. I almost think about sleeping until I hear footsteps echoing down the corridor and I get ready for what may come. The exhaustion creeps into my brain trying to settle in but fight it off needing to be ready to fight. The footsteps I heard from the hall got louder until they seemed to have reached my door but then started pacing. I could tell that the person wasn't a guard as the footwear was not nearly loud or heavy enough.
" You may stop pacing and come in. You are giving me anxiety," I shout irritably through the door. The door opens, and the man from before peaks into the room. Gradually his whole body is in the room, and I'm given another chance to investigate him. The man in front of me only looks a little older than me solely because of his height, He isn't a giant, but he is at least a few inches over me. Height is not the only thing he has more than me as he is more toned than me by a bit. His hair is a gorgeous deep dark brown that almost looks black, and his eyes are brown with golden flecks that are calming and gentle. He has a kind face that seems timid once I glance at it again, and I almost laugh at how charming he seems. For a moment it was soundless until He goes to say something then cuts himself off. He then takes a few steps forward and my body is immediately tense ready for whatever he may proceed at me with. He stops for a moment I assume realizing how my body stiffens but continues to come closer anyway. He sits down on the bed next to my standing stiff body and pats the area next to him motioning for me to sit. I take a step back from him not trusting him for even a moment no matter how adorable I may think he is.He groans out " I am not going to have you sit down so I can assassinate you; what do they even teach you of us over there.
" I take one step further from him and growl " Not many of us that try to get information on you never make it home let alone anything past that."
He quickly stands no longer nervous or adorable and quite frankly very scary looking with a large scowl. "First off Mate we have never killed any of your people let alone harmed them," He takes a breath perhaps trying to calm himself before continuing "Second our people have lost so much and many of our people to the murderous foundation you work for." With every word he gets out he takes a step forward, and with his length, he is quickly standing above me.
For the first time in my life, I don't back down, I take a step forward now chest to chest with him. My finger slams into his chest I'm pretty sure hurting me more than it affected him, but I don't flinch.
"That foundation you are slandering was originally an outreach program that would help anyone that was affected by the war until Your people attacked us. WE had done nothing but help your people until you had an entire fleet attack the sea village close to your borders. If you don't like what you caused sucks to suck You made your bed now sleep in it."I step to the side walking to the blue cushioned chair that seems so much more quality than the ones at the facility. The second I sit down all of the energy drains from my body and makes it so much harder to keep my defenses up. My eyes close only for a moment, but when I next open them the man is sitting in the chair next to me. Having not heard him move I am unsure how long I have had my eyes closed, but either way, I sit up from my slouched position. I look at him now realizing that he is sleeping peacefully and doesn't have an inkling of concern etched into his face. I walk over to his sleeping figure reaching out to grasp his face until I realize what I am doing and drawback shaking my head as I go. Rule number one swims in my head louder than other thoughts; A fool who can not control themselves is as good as dead and mine as well hang themselves where they stand.
