"Why did you stop?" I hear the man in front of me grumble before his eyes open slowly.

"I, in all honesty, do not know what I was going to do," I mumble to him as I look at my hand with a glare. He all of a sudden lets out a booming laugh confusing the daylights out of me.

"You look at your hand as if it had betrayed you and taken control of it!" He shouts between laughing. I almost smile at his amusement before I catch myself and turn to walk away from his area. Before I can get very far he grabs my wrist stopping me from further movement.

" I'm sorry for laughing at you it was just adorable when your face scrunched up like that simply because your hand acted before you could filter." He says through small fits of laughter.
"You do not seem very sorry at all," I say before I yank my arm from his grasp. I turn around quickly hiding the smile that seemed to come out before I can stop it.

"Well you do not seem very angry either, so I don't see a problem with it," He says turning me around before I can stop him. The smirk on his face tells me that he is not trying to harm me, so I don't tense up this time. He seems happy that I didn't move away or tense up, and for a moment, I feel peaceful. After a few minutes of standing like that, I realize just what I have done and step away from him. The smile on his face drops, and I almost regret stepping away from him, but I shake my head and ready myself for the argument I am about to have.

"I would like to be set free to go home as soon as possible" I state with as much authority I can muster up. I take one more step back waiting to be dismissed or even shouted at, but when it does not come I look up from my filthy shoes. The man in front of me looks dejected by my words, but I can not take them back from my mouth as I need to get home.

"I can't... I can't send you home I am sorry I would love nothing more than to make you satisfied, but I can not fulfill that request." He murmurs with deep regret encompassing each word.

"Then you should know that I will not stop no matter what happens. You may halter me from leaving sooner than I would like but do not think for one second that I will stay willingly in these walls of my enemy." I state with anger pushing each word out
looking a little shocked at my words he quickly says "I am sorry that did not come out as I meant it to but uh what I meant of that is that currently at this time I physically can not send you home." He shuffles his feet a bit as my confusion sets in and curiosity takes a quick old of me.
"What do you mean by that?" I quietly state with little power in my voice.
"The kingdom's barrier is temporarily sealed and nobody is allowed to enter or exit the kingdom," he states in a matter of fact voice "If one were to try to enter or exit the force field that is up it would send them into unconsciousness."

I rub my face a little more stressed out than a moment ago and sit down in the plush chair again. "You can't do that if the E.L.I.T.E finds out that a full clearance agent like me was captured they will send an entire strike force to do a full-scale air raid." My fingers dig into my temples and rub viciously to make the stress go away. My hand is snatched away from my face, and I open my eyes questioningly realizing something in the process. "What is your name now that I think about it this entire time I've been referring to you as the man in my head," I question him.

He too seems to realize after I had spoken that neither of us had taken a moment to introduce ourselves. He shakes his head and lets go of my hand, not before gazing at me with a look that said don't start again. I gave him an embarrassed smile and placed my hands in my lap fidgeting with my fingers. His hand comes into my view before he introduces himself " My name is Mateo Balaur King of the magic realms and dragon changeling."

"Olivia Kingsley, what do you mean the King of the magic realms?" I question quickly after stating my name. He smiles at my curiosity and sits in the chair across from me smirking as he says his next words. "Should I even be telling you anything, Miss full clearance agent?" My face goes a little red at his words, and my intrusiveness is killed in an instant.

"What do you want for the information" I question knowing that most creatures, human, or not want something for their "intel." I know I'm right when he smiles like he has received a full course meal which I am sure he has. He laughs a little as he says " I was kidding Olivia-". For some reason, I do not hear any more of his sentence as he says my name for the first time in fact by the time I had come off my weird high he was staring at me as if anticipating something.

My face went red as I had realized he was waiting for me to respond to something that I had not even heard simply because I was mesmerized by how he said my name. "Uh um, I uh didn't get past you saying my name I am sorry can you repeat the information," I mumble embarrassed with every word I said. I could tell that for an unknown reason my words satisfied him, for he had a smile spreading across his features. Thinking back to the problem I look towards the window expecting the walls to come falling as we speak.

"Mateo Balaur, That is my name" He speaks softly with a smile on his face and almost looks as if he is anticipating something.

"well, King Mateo I need to leave, or a lot of your people are going to die and perhaps worse," I say with urgency.

"Please just Mateo, but you do not need to worry, for anything, but maybe the time it will take for you to get home," He says stopping only for a moment before further explaining."The protection barrier we currently use lasts for about three weeks since we are completely independent furthermore have no need for the gate being open since the alliance break. We don't leave anyways because the second we do your people attack us, so it is going to be a while before you can leave." Panic started to set in when he said three weeks, and by the time he had finished talking I was a full-on anxiety attack with legs. I started pacing trying to calm myself and think rationally, but I quickly became numb and cold all over my body. My brain was going wild with probabilities of punishments when I finally got back to the compound. My aunt always had a flair for the dramatics especially when it came to breaking any of her "rules." Her chain-like rules were mostly preposterous, and the punishments were even more bullshit.
