Aiden's POV

"Yes mom. I miss you too." I say smiling. I really miss my family, my pack. I have been gone for seven months and my mom is close to giving birth. I hope that when she sees what I've done, she won't go into labour early.

"But you're coming home on Monday, right?" She asks sounding excited. "No." I say and she whines.

"Why not. You said you would, Aiden." She says and I can hear her sniffling. "I'm coming home today mom." I say and gasps.

"Really! Oh my goodness. Mason!" She screams and I have to hold my phone away from my ear. I hear dad ask what's wrong and she tells him.

"He's coming home today." She says and I hear him laugh. "Are you playing with my pregnant wife's feelings, boy?" He asks and I chuckle.

"No dad. I finished all my needed training earlier then the rest, so I can go home earlier." I say picking the bag up and setting it by the bedroom door.

"Spoken like a true King. I'm proud of you, bud." He says and I feel good about making him proud.

"Thanks dad. I've got to go though. See you guys soon. Love you guys." I say and hang up.

I pick my bags up and walk out of the hostel that all the trainee alpha's stayed in. We would rarely even sleep here because we would be out learning how to survive and fight.

"Thanks guys. Y'all have been good company and even better friends." I say bro hugging all the guys.

"We won't miss your competitive ass. That's for sure." Nate says and I laugh.

"That is the alpha king in him." Our instructor, Dwight says. I turn to him and we all bow slightly.

You would think that a bunch of alpha's would be too prideful to bow to anybody but we don't let our egos get in the way of showing respect to the elders.

My great-grandfather, Phillip was the one to come up with the rule of giving respect where it's due, no matter your ranking.

Dwight was his instructor as well. He is The Wise One. Sent by the moon goddess herself to put Alpha's on the right path. He has been training and moulding Alpha's for more than a century now.

Pretty old, yet he doesn't look the part. He looks to be in his mid forties.

"I bid you farewell with only good wishes son. May you be blessed on your leadership journey." He says and I smile at him before hugging his.

I wave at them before driving off. It's two o'clock now so I should be there by three or four.

The drive is boring and I don't like listening to music. I stop for gas and snacks before going back on the road.

I finally get onto our packs territory and I feel the connection with my family grow stronger.

I shifted during training which means that I can communicate with them through mindlink. Once I get the Alpha title, I will be able to communicate with the rest of the pack as well as other Alphas and Lunas.

The only thing I can't wait for is finding my mate. Now that I've shifted, I could start looking for her. She can be anywhere, in other packs, my pack or even on the human lands. That's where my dad found my mom.

I will love my mate whether she's human or werewolf or anything else.

I stop the over thinking when I pull up in front of my parents house. How I've missed this place.

I see my heavily pregnant mother rush out the front door as I get out of my car. "My baby!!" She squeals and jumps into my arms.

I catch her, trying to keep her from hurting herself or the baby. "I missed you too, mom but you have to be careful." I scold her lightly.
