The Protection of the Angels

Chapter 3- The Three Rings

When I woke up, I felt something on my finger but then I ignored it. An hour later, I woke up and looked around. Then I remembered that feeling something was on my finger, I looked both at hands and found a gold to black ring that also had a pink to baby blue jewel. The ring looked so out of this world that this convinces me that this ring was form from non-human hands. I got up and walks to Ali's room, but she was still asleep then I walked to Amber's room, but she was not there. I walked to my room and changed to new clothes. I wore a black hoodie, black jeans, and other black shoes. I walked downstairs and one of teachers was sitting on our couch. The teacher run up to me and hugged me, but I was incredibly surprised that my teachers hugged me.

I asked with a concerned and confused "What happened to me, Ali, and Ember? And Where's Ember?"

The teacher responded with "All three of you was hit by that asteroid and I don't know what's happening with Ember but she's flying with her wings."

"What are you talking about?! We don't have wings!" I said, looking confused.

"Looked behind your back," the teacher said it very calm.

I looked behind my back and saw wings! "But that's impossible! How!?" I said, backing up slowly then fell on the ground, crying.

The teacher took my hand and showed me the ring on my finger and said, "You had this on, the same time those wings showed up"

"Okay, but what are you going with us?" I said, still crying.

The teacher replied with "You, three, are going to stay but the teachers and students think it's best if you stay inside of your house and control your wings and maybe if you got powers", I looked at my teacher but looking happy,

"Thank you" I said, smiling but still crying.

It's been a few weeks and we made very good progress with our wings and our power. The students even found an open cave where practice our flying and even now we can hide our wings whenever we want.

Some people would like of cutting off their wings or even try to figure out what cause this to happen or of course, experiment on us and question every day. Even though all of those are these three small rings but we can't figure out why these rings come to me, Ali, and Ember. The only thing that come to my mind was 'Maybe we closer to the asteroid so the rings come to us?' but to be completely honest, I really don't know.

Ever since the rings come to us, we can almost never take it off and what I mean by 'almost' is when we are near water or anything that includes water. We thought the rings weakness is water. We tried many times to put it in water, but we always fail. When we try to put it in water, it's like it has a mind of its own which is unbelievable!

Anyway, about the wings which also mind-blowing! When our wings discover an element in our Earth, the wings changes into that element. The thought of having this much power is overwhelming and too also think of the government having this power would be terrible. Before we found the cave, all the students and us, three, tried to a perfect spot to practice of magic. We don't want to show ourselves to the world just yet. We will show ourselves to the world when fully understand and control our power but for now we want everyone safe. Now you are wondering what it likes to fly in the clouds or to be able to have power. The only word to express what is feels like to fly in the clouds is free and the able to have power is exciting.
