Little Things (1D Fan Short Story)

3. Concert

Niall and you were a couple for almost two years now. You are still in high school while Niall tours around the world with his friends.  Though you guys are far away from each other, the bond got stronger every minute. But something bad happened few months ago. Niall kissed an actress in an after party he went. The tabloids made it a big scene and he never tried to explain it to you. The pictures went online and even in magazines. Because you were always hidden from cameras and he never talked about you in the interviews you knew that he's not into you anymore.

Time passed by...

You are with your school friends at a children's park. It's your favorite place and your friends. After a long time One Direction is coming to your neighboring town for a concert. Though you are not talking with Niall, still your heart leads you to find every detail about him and the guys. You were never jealous but, your love hasn't faded away with that incident. You always wanted to know whether he's in good health and all.

'Hey... My dad bought me an extra ticket. You have to come with us.' Your best friend knew about your relationship with Niall and she was the only one who was there to comfort you. Now she's asking you to go see your boy.

'Idk... I don't feel like going.' But she went along with her way and finally got my word.

Few hours later...

You are here. You didn't want to dress properly for this because you are not going for a date. But your friend wore a lovely dress because she's determined to talk to Harry. You, on the other hand wore a pair of ripped jeans and red check shirt with black vans. You had to stay on the line for a long time and finally went in. You still think this is a bad idea but when you see your friend and how happy she is, you determined to stay until all this over. You sat down till the concert begins and recollects of the past. How you came to see an old concert of the guys and how you went back stage and had fun with them. Niall never left your side. But today you are here because your friend asked you to and no interest of seen any of the guys. Or you have a slight happiness popping inside your head because you are going to see your love in any minute now. And the waiting ended. One after the other they came to the stage and the whole stadium went crazy. You see him coming last to the stage with his guitar. The guitar he used to teach you how to play. He was your guitar teacher.

'It's good to see our girls!!!' Niall shout out to his mic. You felt like he's calling to you.

The concert ended. It was amazing. You finally managed to see him. And now it's time to go home. But your friend is still in the queue to meet the band. You go outside and find a bench a little far away from the stadium. It's dark. But you can't go alone either. It starts to drizzle and there's no shelter. You tried to call your friend but goes to voice mail. You walk back towards the stadium and saw a small garage. You quickly went inside to get away from the rain.

'Opss.. Sorry...' the voice is familiar. You turns around to make sure who it is.

'Niall?!' you have accidentally walked into each other.

'Hey.' He came back to you. Niall didn't give a chance for you to talk but hugged. When you two got away from each other you saw his eyes covered with tears. The hug you missed for almost five months, it's still warm.

'I'm sorry... princess...'

 He didn't let go of you. Both his hands are resting on your shoulders. You are still shocked and speechless.

'I didn't mean to hurt you, but I felt guilty and still am. That day, it was a mistake. It never meant to happen. We were all drunk and all I remember is having a few shots with the guys.' You didn't want to hear it. But he stopped you talking.

'When I found out the next morning, I felt embarrassed. I shouldn't have done it. Zayn, Harry, Liam and Lou begged me to talk to you and tell it was a mistake. But how can I hurt you more when I know the fault is mine?'             

Your mind is going all around. You come to realize what really happened.

'It's alright Niall.' You said but he shook his head.

'No it's not. I broke your trust. I'm sorry for hurting you. But I still love you.' He finished his speech and closed his eyes. All these years he's been hurting himself by suppressing the guilt in him.

You, stepped close to him and slowly kissed his lips. First, he was a bit taken aback. But then he kissed you back.

You forgave him with all your heart. This; made you two inseparable. You became his life and he became your protector.
