Okay somebody messaged me and asked to post a bonus. Here are 50 Facts about The Witch's Doll

1. The story's based on an idea I had since 2010.

2. I decided to write this because I wrote too much fluff with Checkmate. (If you can call it Fluff).

3. Alessandra's name in the first draft was "Allison".

4. Evonnie was supposed to be an only child too but I decided to put in Marie.

5. The original title was "Voodoo Doll" but I thought it was overkill.

6. Evonnie's second cat, Salem was a witch but turned into a cat because of a curse. I wasn't able to insert her story into the main plot.

7. Loa, also spelled Lwa, refers to the spirit residing inside the voodoo doll. They are also referred to as "mystères" and "the Invisibles" and are not a part of Filipino lore. I took the idea from African lore.

8. The spirit inside the voodoo doll was human from the start named Marinette, but I wasn't able to write her backstory because it has nothing to do with Alessandra or Isla.

9. The Cecil family was supposed to have financial problems in this story so Isla only wanted to catch Alessandra because of the reward money.

10. The Witch's Doll exists in the same universe as Checkmate and Merfolks.

11. Monica was supposed to be an ordinary muggle who can see auras.

12. Claudia was supposed to appear earlier in the story but I opted to delay her introduction and I have a soft spot for Claudia because I've been the girl who likes a girl who's crazy for someone else.

13. Alessandra and Isla were supposed to fall for each other in the first draft.

14. Alessandra was supposed to die in the first draft via a car crash.

15. Evonnie was supposed to fall for Monica in the first draft too.

16. Zac was supposed to be Evonnie's abusive boyfriend before I decided he should be the bully and nothing else.

17. Henri was supposed to be a girl named Henrietta, who tags along with Poppy, but I decided to make her into a guy instead and gave him an important role.

18. Monica was supposed to be a guy named Terrence and her voodoo doll was supposed to be named Erzulie.

19. Isla was supposed to be a guy named Morgan, and in my defense, I wrote the first draft in high school where my beta-readers were my classmates. I was in the closet back then.

20. Alessandra and Evonnie were supposed to be bisexual.

21. The other pov along Alessandra was supposed to be Evonnie's but then I decided to give it to Isla because that would make a better storyline.

22. Claudia, Marie, Amani, Abigail, and Harper didn't exist in the first draft.

23. The first draft will never see the light of day, but I still have it at my disposal. I used it as a bedtime story for my younger siblings in 2011. Yes. All the death and drama.

24. There was supposed to be a chapter dedicated to Isla's hearing in court.

25. Isla was supposed to have attempted suicide but I decided to change it by getting blackmailed by Graham.

26. Graham was supposed to be a religious misogynistic freak. I still left the misogynistic part but downgraded it.

27. Amani was supposed to be one of the survivors.

28. Poppy was supposed to be Diana's informant, not Abigail.

29. Abigail was supposed to come back at the end with a speaking line.
