The intermission

Chapter one

       I woke up to behold my day. Yeah!!! It's my day because Anne-Marie would be replying me today. Anne was my crush and it has been two months since I tried getting this girl and the funniest thing is I don't know whether her reply would be a positive one but I'm optimistic. You may think that I'm crazy but the truth is that Anne has been my classmate in the same class since grade 7 but I never noticed her. Actually I detested girls for no reason that my friends will have to hide anything that has to do with girls from me. And two months ago I took a bold step. But before I rant about Anne, I have this childhood friend named Caleb. Caleb has been my best friend and classmate since grade 7. Caleb was very brilliant, outstanding and humble but could be an ass sometimes. He shared his most funny, humiliating and best moments with me. But this best friend of mine had a major problem which was more of a challenge or something and that problem was Alberta
Alberta was one of the most beautiful girls in the class and even words couldn't describe her beauty and charisma. She was a gem. But I was not moved by any of those qualities though. Caleb vowed to do anything to win Alberta's heart and I would tell him words like "you are still young and tender to be obsessed with a girl". And true to his words, he did try to woo her using his intelligence and brilliance to get closer to her by in most times solving her class works and stuffs like that. and less than a month, the whole 7th graders teased him using her and he never seemed to care. I was disappointed in Caleb because he was putting himself in a limelight that would affect him negatively. I tried as a friend to advice him but the dude has been charmed by the her beauty hence leaving me with no choice than to allow him have his way. Yet I wasn't happy. One morning during our first lesson, a teacher sent for Caleb and from the expression that the messenger wore on his face, I knew that something was wrong. I couldn't figure out what the problem could be but so I let him go without asking any questions. Throughout our first lesson(Mathematics) I couldn't concentrate and both the teacher and my classmates noticed that. After the Mathematics class, he told me to meet him in his office
Math teacher: what is wrong with you kayci?
Me: Nothing sir
Math teacher: you can't say nothing when we all know that something is wrong somewhere.
Me: I'm fine sir. Is that what you called me for?
Math teacher: Yes and you can confide in me if you have any problem.
Me: I'm grateful sir but I'm ok. Thank you very much sir.
This were the last words I said as I walked out of his office but I noticed that Caleb was being scolded by the vice-principal. WHAT WAS ACTUALLY GOING ON??
