All The Bright Places
Jennifer Niven
Never before have I cried so much at a book! Even when I read 'Me Before You' it wasn't this bad. But with sobs raking my body whilst I tried to finish the book I can honestly say it has hit me deeper down than I originally thought. Maybe I related to some of the issues which took place and that why I cried for hours even after the book was finished was because I know people in similar situations.
This book does not have the happy ending that you first imagine after Violet and Finch first meet on the bell tower. Some might say that it is a happy ending and that no one is suffering as much as they were. However, watching the two teens change for the better and for the worst is the happiest and saddest thing you can do if you decide to read this book. You will fall in love with Finch only for him to break your heart, and you will envy to be like Violet and be jealous of her accomplishments both in herself and with the world around her.
Its an easy read that is over all too soon and all I want to do is be back with my fingers clenching the pages and waiting for the next big adventure of Violet and Finch in a small town with nothing to do. I want to be back reading the dialogue of a flirt and a girl too shy to say boo to a goose except for Finch. He was her exception. All I can do now is hope that Violet is ok and wishing that Finch found the other universe. Maybe he is somewhere better suited for his unique self.
I would love for a sequel. Maybe in Amanda's point of view.
