i'm coming over okay
i'll be there soon

twenty minutes later i'm knocking on her front door. i ran here. ella always texts me back and after her text, i'm worried.

the door flings open and there stands thalia, in sleep shorts and oversized t-shirt. she's fine. i'm gonna kill her.

"yay you're here. i've been waiting for hours. come
on," thalia beams as she drags me into the kitchen.

"bitch i thought you were dead, what's wrong. what were all those texts about," i say as i pull her in for a hug.

ella hugs me back, burying her head in the crook of my neck. "sorry i'm fine. i just wanted you to come over and eat some cereal with me."

i pull away from her and look around the kitchen. there are two bowls of cereal sitting on the counter.

"wait, you called me over here, to eat some cereal?" i ask.

"yeah, i just bought your favourite. or if you want, you can have some of mine. it's cinnamon toast crunch," she says as she digs into her cereal.

i glare at her as she eats. "are you kidding thalia. that's not funny. i was worried about you."

she glances over at me with a guilty look on her face. ugh she looks adorable. her brown hairs is ruffled like she's been tossing and turning all night and her cheeks are flushed.

what she did is still fucked up though. i turn away from her and start to walk away.

"wait," she begs as she runs after me.

i turn to look at her ready to hear how she's going to justify this one.

"i'm lying... about the cereal i mean. i- i mean if you want cereal you can have the cereal but i didn't call you over here for the cereal. i actually didn't think you'd come but i- it wasn't the cereal. i'm not even hungry. i just wanted to see you. cause i missed you. i needed a reason to see you so um, i said cereal," she rambles, looking down at her feet.

i burst out laughing. "you called me over here to eat cereal because you missed me. i saw you like six hours ago," i laugh as i watch her cheeks go red.

"hey, it's not funny. i couldn't sleep so i thought maybe we could hang out or something —

i pull her in for another hug cutting her off. i rest my head on top of hers as she curls into me. "you could've just told me you wanted to see me. you know i would've come," i say softly.

"ugh it's stupid. i should've just left you alone. i'm sorry. i didn't even think you'd come," she mumbles into my neck.

"don't apologize. i love spending time with you, even when you wake me up at three in the morning."

ella pulls away from the hug and shyly reaches for my hand. "i'm not really hungry. come cuddle with me? we can watch whatever you want. i couldn't sleep," she asks.

i grab her hand and pull her up the stairs. "let's watch family guy."

"we've watched every episode of family guy like fifty times how are you not sick of it," she asks as we reach she room.

i lie on the bed and pull her on top of me. "i always forget to pay attention, you're always distracting me."

i fumble with the remote trying to remember what channel family guy plays but before i can it's ripped out of my hand.

ella takes the remote and throws it on the floor. she wraps her arms around me and kisses me on the cheek. "fuck family guy. just lay with me," she whispers into my ear.

i look over to her with a confused look on my face. " you're being really cute tonight. what's wrong," i ask as i cup her cheek with my hand, forcing her to look at me.

"i had a bad dream."

"wanna talk about it?"

she leans in to give me a soft kiss. "it's okay. i feel better now."
