"here," logan says as she shoves a box of cupcakes in my hand.
i was sitting on the couch trying to finish my politics homework when someone knocked on the door. okay fine, i was watching netflix but i swear i was about to do it. anyway i was sitting there when someone knocked on the door and when i opened it, logan was standing there with a sheepish grin and a box of cupcakes.
now, don't get me wrong. i love logan but we didn't have any plans. we haven't spoken all day. the last time i saw her was last night at a party.
logan shoves me out of the way and goes to sit on the couch, unpausing my show. "um, cupcakes? why are you giving me cupcakes," i ask as i shut the door and go sit next to her.
"they're vegan."
"okay, but why did you come all the way here to bring them to me."
logan is quite for a minute and for a second i think she's going to ignore me but then she looks at me and rolls her eyes. "last night. at the party. there were cupcakes but they weren't vegan and you love cupcakes so i got you cupcakes."
"you brought me cupcakes because you felt bad that i couldn't have any last night," i ask as i watch her cheeks turn red.
"yes. they're just cupcakes so don't make it a thing."
i turn away from here and look down at the box of cupcakes. 100%, chocolate fudge cupcakes. my favourite. this girl is going to kill me.
"thank you, logan. that's really nice. i know they're just cupcakes but i don't know i guess it's the thought that counts," i gush as i try to catch her eye.
she nods her head and goes back to watching tv. she probably doesn't want to talk about it, so i'll leave her alone.the episode ends and as we've waiting for the next episode to start, logan looks over at me and kisses my cheek. "i ate a cupcake when you weren't look last night. i felt bad so i brought you cupcakes. just say thank you and let's not talk about it," she says as she wraps her arm around my shoulder.
"thank you."
"your welcome."
