"spenceeeee."
...
"spencer."
...
"come on, don't be like that."

bella and i decided that we were going to have a study day. a whole day devoted to studying. at the library, the library that does not have the best wifi. i have unlimited data but i'm not using it because its going to distract me and i'm a good friend so i'm not giving it to bella either.

"bella, we have to study. we've only been her for like two hours. i'm going to fail chem i need you to tutor me." i say as i try to figure out what the fuck the textbook is talking about.

bella sighs and looks down at her phone. she's been trying to figure out my password.

"i will help you study, i promise. i just need to check twitter. i need to know if they renewed atypical, it's been months."

i turn and watch her put random things in the password box. "you're never going to guess it. it's weird."

bella turns and glares at me. "i think you're underestimating how much i know you."

i turn away and back to my equations. how does one balance an equation?

how am i supposed to balance something with no numbers?

did he even explain this? i swear i was listening, i don-

"spencer."

"yeah, what? i think im really close to figuring this ou-

my words stop as my mouth drops. spencer is holding her phone out to me and it's connected to my hotspot. she figured it out.

oh god, she figured it out.

"i- i um, it was a joke. like its funny. funny story actually so, i was really bored and i was messing around with my settings
right, and i saw that my hotspot password was like random as shit and really hard to remember and i was texting you and so i figured, why d- don't i make the password bella. you know cause i know how to spell your name and um i won't forget you," i stutter as bella just stares at me.

"you are so cute." she says as she leans over and pinches my cheek.

"i'm not, it was jus-

bella grabs the pen out of my hand and balances one of my equations. "do you know what my phone password is?"

"um, 0721, yeah why?"

"do you recognize those numbers?" she asks as she continues doing whatever she's doing with my paper.

"noo, should i?"

she puts the pen down and points at a little note she wrote on my paper. july 21st. what's july 21st?

oh, my birthday.

oh my god, her password is my birthday.

i turn to look at her with red cheeks but before i can say anything she speaks. "okay, so let's teach you how to balance equations, because the one you did was so wrong i'm worried."
