Haunted - NCT OT21

That day most of the boys didn't go to school. Yangyang, Xiaojun, Hendery, and a few of the college students are the ones who are obliged to go to school. As for the Dreamies, Chenle, Mark, Haechan, and Jaemin went to school. Jisung and Renjun stayed with Kun to watch over Doyoung.

Kun: "The doctor said Doyoung was probably stabbed around late midnight. It's a miracle he survived."

Renjun: "I can't believe it. Who could've hurt Doyoung Hyung?"

Jisung kept quiet. The images of blood haunted his thoughts. He tried to think: was it really him who stabbed Doyoung?

Jeno sat at the waiting room chair. He didn't look like talking. His body kept rocking back and forth, mumbling incoherently.

"Is he gonna be okay?" Renjun asked worriedly.

Kun: "He's just a bit shaken up at the moment."

Jisung finally showed a response after some time. He approached Jeno and rubbed his back gently. Jeno's silence slowly turned into sobs.

Jisung: "Shhh, It's gonna be okay, Hyung."

Jeno: "H-he was right there. Just laying on the floor. B-blood was everywhere. I-I thought he was g-g-going to...."

Jeno couldn't hold back his sobs anymore.  Kun and Renjun ran over to him to comfort him as well.

"It's okay, he's fine now, Jeno," Kun said soothingly.

The door to Doyoung's ward opened. The doctor came over to them, his face didn't show any expression.

Doctor: "You can see him now."

The four of them followed into the ward. Doyoung was laying on the bed, a weak smile on his face.

Jeno: "H-hyung."

Doyoung: "Hey guys."

Kun: "How are you feeling?"

Doyoung; "To be honest, not very good. But I'll come through."

Kun: "Glad to hear that. Jeno was really worried."

Renjun: "We all were."

Doyoung's eyes averted to Jisung. He frowned a little.

Doyoung: "Could you guys leave for a second? It's getting a bit stuffy in here."

Kun, Jeno, and Renjun went out of the ward. Jisung was about to follow after but Doyoung stopped him.

Doyoung: "Jisung, I need to ask you something."

Jisung's lip trembled. He slowly turned to his Hyung, whose face was serious.

Doyoung: "What happened last night?"

Jisung: "I swear, Hyung.  I have no idea who stabbed you."

Doyoung: "Why did you think I'm asking about who stabbed me last night?"

Jisung fell silent. He realized his words just gave him away.

Jisung: "H-Hyung, I don't know--"

Doyoung: "I know you stabbed me. I know it's out of your conscious, you had no control over it. What I don't know is what's up with you and the Dreamies and what happened after the party.

The images of Chenle flashed in his head. Jisung feared what might happen if he were to tell Doyoung. But he had no choice. Things might get out of hand.

Jisung: "All I can remember, when I came back to my room, Chenle-ge was acting... weird. When I tried to talk to him he was... I don't know how to say this. Possessed?"

It wasn't the entire truth of course. Something in the back of Jisung's head is telling him not to tell any of his Hyungs about the puzzle.

Doyoung gave a brief nod. His expression still hasn't changed.

Doyoung: "Listen, i know as much as what Taeyong knows. So if you feel like you can't tell him, you can always come to me.

Jisung: "Hyung I'm so sorry for--"

Doyoung: "You don't have to apologize for anything. It wasn't your fault. But what you have to do now is not getting caught. So listen closely."

Jisung leaned forward as Doyoung started to give him instructions.

"You already got rid of all the evidence right? The knives, gloves, clothes, anything that can lead to my case?" Jisung nodded.

"Now, I want you to stay quiet about the problem. Don't mention it at all. If someone brings it up to you, just talk about it casually, don't make yourself look suspicious. If they ask why you don't talk about it, just say that the incident is unsettling for you. Understand?"

"Yes, Hyung."

"Good. Now go, the others might be looking for you."
