"DOMINATOR" (Kogami x Ginoza)

CHAPTER 1: Judge and Executioner

(Okay readers! Get the voice of Gino in your heads, he's up first!)

        I WILL TO UPHOLD THE LAW.  These are the words I repeat to myself everyday as I put on my uniform and glasses. There is far too much crimes in the society for me to put a blind eye on and the Sibyl System has discovered the source to what causes crimes.

                                                                                "STRESS"

        And we, at the MWPSB (Ministy of Welfare Public Safety Bureau) who have been tasked to bring in or take down individuals with an undesirable Crime Coefficient. It is our job at the CID (Criminal Investigation Department) to bestow judgement on them with the tools Sibyl had provided us.

                                                                          "DOMINATORS." 

                 As I hear the stress area alert, I grab my coat glare at my partner Shinya Kogami and all I can think about is

“I won’t end up like you, a LATENT CRIMINAL”

He is a former inspector turned enforcer due to an incident where an enforcer assigned to him died at his supervision. Until now, the criminal is still loose and he still hunts him down. 

                The CID implements a buddy system of that consists of a hunting dog (the ENFORCER) and the handler (the INSPECTOR) on covert assignments in order to keep the public in a calm state. You could say this is a “capture the flag” objective if you may.

                We walk in the mall wearing Holograms of mascots and wave at people as if we we’re not MWPSB agents. Our target was a serial rapist, he is stalking a victim as we stroll the mall checking every individual of their crime coefficient. One of the scanners detected and increase in his stress levels and not long after I see the criminal and begin my move.

                “Enforcer, There is our target stalking the female walking towards the exit.”      

                Kogami knows I have no respect for him and he is the type that doesn’t care about anything else but his specific criminal that he seeks. All he says is

                “ROGER.”

                I give out a “Hmph” and we begin to mobilize on the target. We followed him around and continued to be unnoticed by changing Holos. We reach a dark alley and the criminal makes contact with his soon to be victim. I look at Kogami and nod. We both prepare our Dominators and move in.

                As he begins to strangle and unclothe the female I couldn’t stand and watch.

“MWPSB!!! Halt!”

The Criminal assaults the female knocks her out, grabbing her and makes a run for it.

“KOGAMI!”

I blurted out his name to back me up as we both take pursuit on the criminal. The criminal knew the area very well as he continues to elude us in his attempt to escape, but we never lost his trail. When we finally got the criminal cornered we pointed our dominators at him.

“You have nowhere to run, just give up and accept judgement.”

                But I realize Kogami starts to walk toward them. His eyes filled with rage. He points his Dominator at him and asks

“Why do you have that tattoo?! (*clenches teeth*) HOW ARE YOU INVOLVED IN ENFORCERS MURDER?!”

                The criminal just smiles and charges through a wall. It was a Holo. It seems it was the criminal’s hideout. Kogami just rushes in.

“Kogami! Stand down!”

But he doesn’t listen. And he just goes in headfirst. It is my duty as an Inspector to keep tabs on my Enforcer, so I follow Kogami’s trail. I WILL DEFINITELY MAKE SURE HE PAYS FOR DISOBEYING ME.

                I catch up to him and he makes hand signals that they are on the other side of the door. I give off the count and he kicks the door open, but to our surprise, no one was there. We inspected the room and we found no trace of them. We lost them. I can still see the intense anger painted is Kogami’s face, but he could do nothing. We decided to return to the CID and report to the Chief. He is still pissed off.

                He returns to his quarters and I am still typing the report on our previous failure. After sending it, I can never forget my enforcers DISOBEDIENCE. I go to his room and confront the raged beast. The rooms is filled with the putrid smell of cigarette smoke and alcohol.

“Kogami!” I shouted.

But I saw him drinking and looking at his wall filled with evidence and did not care about my existence. I am infuriated by his ignorance and grabs him by the shoulder. But to my surprise I was grabbed by the collar and pressed to a wall. I try to keep my composure and emotionless expression but within my thoughts I am afraid, I am fully aware that this man is stronger than me.

                “What now? You’re going to blow your steam off me enforcer?” I said sarcastically.

                His grip tightens around my collar and he says

                “I’ve had enough of your God complex Gino!” shouted Kogami.

With all his strength, he threw me to his bed and pinned me down.

                “Not so superior now are we, Inspector-san?”

                “KOGAMI! Hanase (Let me go)! I order you to let me go!”

  Then unexpectedly, he swings a slap at me, leaving me senseless and my glasses fall. All I could feel was my neck was being desecrated. I struggle and the thought of I am about to be defiled by Kogami scares me.
