The competition came along and I am excited. Chloe and I walk side by side into the building.
"Okay let's get ready for our solos." Abby calls.
I first did my makeup which is pretty simple. Then I change into my costume. And I stretch.
My costume is a red and black crop top with black leather looking tights.
My hair is up in a low bun and a red head piece is on.
I look over to Maddie and saw her wearing a white dress with her makeup looking professionally done and her hair in a high bun. Overall Maddie looks better than me.
"You two girls can go back stage. We'll be waiting in the audience." Abby smile before leaving the room.
My mom wrapped me in a warm hug and whispers,
"You don't have to be like Maddie or dance like Maddie. Because your Kendall." She kiss the top of my head before leaving me.
I walk slowly back stage and wait for the director of the competition to call for me.
"Up next we have Maddie performing 'The lies you told me'."
Maddie walks on stage and danced gracefully.
Once she is at the end of the dance many people stood up and clapped for her.
Ad all I could think of is that I'm toast.
