It was dark outside now, just the way she liked it. Some parts were illuminated by pixies, some by nocturnal lantern scorpions, out looking for breakfast, but most were just dark. Despite the pitch black of night, she could see perfectly, due to the visual enhancement charm she had active.

~This idea's a bit wack. Alright, let's try this.~ She took the index finger of her non-dominant hand and drew a small circle on her forehead. She then pulled the circle off of her forehead and held it between her palms. "Come out here, Sendit." Out of her palms floated an eyeball with a dark blue iris, an indicator of the visual enhancement charm. "Search for the scent, sight and sound of Ventris. As well as midget footprints." The eyeball sprouted a nose and two ears, then vanished. ~That should make things easier.~

She herself was searching with three different sensory enhancement charms active. ~She said she was going shopping, but what shops are even in this forest?~ The eye returned about 15 minutes later, having found no clue as to the drider's whereabouts. ~Fuck sake. Nothing. That hot sadist better not be dead or I will proper lose my shit.~

An idea popped up. ~Alright, how about this?~ She began rubbing her palms together quickly, generating a mass of enchanted static electricity. She kept doing so until both arms were covered in it then slammed both palms into the ground simultaneously. The impact discharged a great wave that travelled 1 and a half miles. It was a spell used for quick scans of wide areas, but she usually saved it for emergencies as it did consume quite a bit of energy.

~One more time. Come on, you can do better than this, man! You're a darn mage, for Pete's sake!~ This time, the wave travelled 2.3 miles. ~There! Her soul presence! And it's getting weaker?!~ She reached into her bag, pulled out a marshmallow, spat on it then threw it on the ground. It quickly increased in size, expanding into a larger cylinder, which she quickly hopped onto and rode like a hoverbike towards the location her search discovered. ~You better not die. Swear down, if you die...!~

Zipping round trees with her vehicle set to flight assist, she arrived in under 7 minutes. She found herself at the entrance to a new cave, a slightly... unwelcoming cave. Right by the entrance lay a fresh wolfpion carcass. ~Why would you leave your food outside tho? Are you trying to scare me or share with strangers?~

She proceeded into the heart of the cave, whilst Sendit went on ahead to scout the area, cloaked. The strong smell of rancid blood, was starting to make Rachael uneasy and slightly sick. ~Unhygienic bastard, eh?~ She raised her scarf to cover her nose then tightened it and walked on. ~Who there?~ A faint but quite aggressive tone began getting louder and louder as she walked on. She summoned Sendit back to her position and sent it ahead, towards the voice.

The eye eventually entered a room, relaying everything it saw, heard and smelled back to Rachael. Two lycans were present in the room, both bloodied by the hands, mouth and chest, and appeared to be towering over something. That something appeared to have... large spider legs. The instant the connection was made, Rachael zoomed into the room and hopped off her marshmallow.

The lycans turned to face the human girl, who was frozen at the sight of her drider friend, bloodied and covered head to legs in claw marks and some bites. "Hello there. Don't be afraid of us. We won't hurt you. Less, you know, you're alright with us hurting you." They both laughed.

As she stared at what she didn't want to believe was Ventris' corpse, tears streamed down her face and her blood began boiling fiercely. "Oi, oi! Why you crying for, miss? Or are you peeing from your eyes in some sort of weird, panicy fit? HeheheHAHAHA!!" Rachael was shaking. Not from fear, though. She slowly took off her bag and unzipped it, taking out her book. "You want to read now? Alright. What story is that, if I may?"

The book opened and turned itself to a page with the pictures of a racket and a shuttlecock. Then they turned again to a page with the pictures of a toothbrush and a toothpaste container. She placed her hand on them and pulled out those very items, albeit slightly bigger versions of them. As tears continued to stream down her face she continued with the enchantment, making the toothpaste container squirt some onto the toothbrush. The lycans laughed on, utterly bemused by the sorcery they were witnessing. "What in the blue blazes is she doing?"

Holding the armed toothbrush, she slowly waved it in front of her face, as if brushing the lycans out of her view. As they continued to laugh, one of them fell to the ground, shocking them both. "The hell's wrong with you?" They both turned to find that the male lycan's legs were no longer attached to his body. The female lycan, who was still unharmed, turned back to face Rachael then dashed towards her only to fall apart, severed diagonally from shoulder to hip.

As soon as the male lycan tried to stand, his arms were severed. "WAIT! WAIT!" His connection to the rest of his torso was the next to go. "WAAAIIIT!" Before she could sever his head, a series of bandages wrapped round her dominant hand and another figure appeared in the room.
"...Rachael, Rachael, Rachael. I told you to only use the too... oh... what er... do we... what's... going on here?"
