Living without

I turned again, wrinkling my yellow bedsheets. "It's gonna be hard living without the only monster that kept you alive," I whisper to myself chuckling. There's this bitter taste in my mouth, I'm fine. Right? "Nightmare... I'm sorry." I whisper again. I can still hear his voice, telling me bedtime stories of heroes, villains, neutrals, the lullabies he used to sing. He's gone now, I hope he sleeps well, eternally.

No one's p.o.v

A knock is heard on Dream's door. "Dream? Are you ok in there?" A familiar voice is heard behind the door, Killer. "Go away!" Dream yells. "Dream, please let me in!" Killer yells desperately. "I said GO!" It happened again, the voice. It sounded like Nightmare's but way deeper. It was Corruption. One of Dream's new friends. The same person who took his brother from him and made him into that. That was what everyone referred to Nightmare. As a that. None of them could even say his name. That is just sad. Dream heard footsteps walking away. The dreaded sound growing fainter every second. Killer had walked away.
