It has been roughly thirty minutes since we set sail to Corpse Island. Nothing much happened in between those time gaps, just me and my friends chatting about the excitement we felt and snacking on some chips. We were located in a table that held four people, two facing the other two and in between the seats was a small yet useful rectangular table made of wood. Thomas and Marco spent their time playing their deck of cards while me and Jenny were busy discussing about our plans. "Jenny, Mark, let's play a little game, shall we?" Marco smirked. Me and Jenny faced each other and shrugged, we were in a middle of a good talk when Marco's sudden question interrupted us. "Yeah sure," I replied.

"UNO!" Thomas screamed at the top of his lungs. Well, at first I found it saddening to know we were the only ones on the ship, other than the captain of course , I mean, what do you expect? Going to Corpse Island was probably not on anyone's wish list, unless they plan of getting themselves killed. Although, now that I think of it, I wouldn't want anyone to hear our unexpected screams and watch our victory dances. Thomas grinned and plastered a wide smile while we watched him dance in defeat. Well, that excitement didn't last very long. After we went another turn around the table, Marco, who preceded Thomas, smiled and calmly placed down a "+4" card. Thomas sat speechless as we all yelled in shock. Thomas drew four cards from the deck while giving all of us mean glances. He wasn't very pleased at the moment. As soon as we made another turn, Thomas kept getting picked on; first a "+4" card as he was about to win, then now a "skip turn" card as he was about to place down his card. He was unluckier than he thought. As we kept taking our turns, each round filled with laughter and lots of yelling, we made it to an end. "Boom son, this is what you call a pro move," Jenny smirked in victory. Marco tossed his cards unto the table and Thomas gently placed down his cards while trying to maintain his overall sanity. I sighed and cleaned up the cards they left. Jenny helped me pick up the remaining cards that were scattered here and there. As soon as we got to the last card, me and Jenny raced on who would get the card first. Suddenly, our hands touched, overlapping each other. We looked at each other in surprise and then looked away while dragging our hands back. I slightly blushed and nervously laughed as Jenny joined me in my laughter. I eventually picked up the last card and placed it by the desk.

As Marco and Thomas sat down back at their seats, we felt the floor beneath us become unstable. All of us quickly gripped on the object closest to us and held tight. The ceiling creaked and the unsteadiness of the ship became greater. As Jenny and Thomas sat at the window seat, they peeked at their windows to inform us that the waves were raging at our ship. The high waters began pushing us roughly towards the north. We held at the object we were clinging on tighter and rougher. "Hey, I see something!" Jenny snapped. "What does it look like?" I asked her, "Well, it looks like..." Jenny paused which frightened all of us. "A silhouette of some sort." Jenny concluded. "Perhaps the island?" Thomas guessed, you can tell by his face that he was puzzled. He could only see what was behind due to his position. "I-I don't know how to explain it," Jenny was perplexed. I insisted we swapped seats for the moment so that I could take a look at what was heading for us. Just as soon as I sat down, the lights turned off. We yelped to the sudden event and gulped nervously. Marco reached his hand in for the backpack and searched through it. He took out his flashlight and flicked it open. I stared far through the window to catch a glimpse of what Jenny was talking about. I don't see anything...Wait. Is that, no. That can't be it.

I wasn't prepared for what I saw...
