Once inside the pitch black cavern Larry and the twins feel around to find something to light their way. "My phone has a flashlight." Mavis dug around through her backpack to find her phone switching the flashlight on it. "Very good Mavis. Unfortunately, smartphone batteries can't last forever I wish they could." Said the adult explorer. She shines her light on some large sticks, some dead twigs and leaves. "Jake, grab as many dead twigs and leaves as you can and put them on that stick." He does so scooping a fair amount in his arms piling them on the stick. "Sis, what are you doing?"
"Making torches and those two rocks will do." Lawrence grabbed the two rocks striking at them to try and make a fire with just a few strikes some sparks form and they land on the twigs and leaves setting them aflame. Jake picks the two other large sticks lighting them into extra torches. "You really are a resourceful two."

The dark haired male grabs the torch lighting the way. "Stay close to me now, it's easy to get lost in a place like this." He tells the twins walking in the large cavernous temple holding the burning makeshift torch. "We should also be on the lookout." Said Jake. "Look out for what exactly?" Mavis asked him. "Booby traps." Said Lawrence. This caused him to stifle a laugh. "Sorry, sorry, when you said booby traps I got the first part."

The redheaded girl twin rolls her eyes. "You can be so immature sometimes." She walked past the two males until she stepped somewhere making the ground rumble below her feet creating a chasm causing her to fall. "Mavis!" Jake ran but was too late seeing his sister fall into chasm as her high scream fading into the darkness having his desperate cry echoing into it feeling his eyes tear up. "Mavis," he chokes back at a sob kneeling at the edge wishing it was him that fell instead of her. "Chin up, I'm sure she'll survive." The adult explorer tells him hiding a sneer. "How can I go on without her, it should've been me that fell." Jake felt really awful, what if Mavis calling him immature at him trying not laugh at the words booby traps was the last thing she ever said to him. "Don't think that you should be the one to fall, I'm sure she would've wanted you to find the treasure for both of you." He rubs at his eyes to try and wipe away his tears quietly crying. "I understand that it's hard to lose someone you love." Larry said petting Jake's shoulder.

Down below the chasm, Mavis falls hearing her brother's echoing voice desperately screaming her name falling deep in the darkness hitting some rocks crashing through spiderwebs and cobwebs until hitting one last large rock on her forehead until landing on the cold hard ground.

Mavis lays on the ground with a bleeding gash on her forehead that is thankfully not very deep due to some of the protection of her pith helmet quietly groaning in pain covered in dirt, dust, scratches and webbing from the spiderwebs and cobwebs

Jake and Larry continued walking while looking out for more laid out booby traps that would keep them from getting the treasure. The redhead stops the khaki clad adult. "This might be another booby trap." Jake picks up a rock and throws it forward making a stone slowly sink down triggering a spike pit. "Larry, how likely do you think our chances of survival if we run across the way really fast?"
"I would say 50-80 but I don't see wh-" he was cut off when the boy pulls him by the wrist through the booby trapped tunnel avoiding spikes, arrows, darts, walls that smash periodically and a stone battering ram screaming for their lives and Jake constantly telling himself don't die over and over like a frantic mantra of sorts until they reached the other end. "We made it, we made it! Your risky but genius plan worked!" Larry twirls the boy in a constricting hug. "Y-Yeah, let's just hope that treasure is worth it." He said trying to breath for a man who is not bulked in muscle he sure has some strength in his hugging.

"Let's just hope there aren't any more of those horrible booby traps." The adult explorer said putting the redhead down on the ground heading deeper into the temple to find the lost treasure.
